A group of physicists were able to come up with a mathematical formula for what we used to call a time machine. Theoretically, there is an opportunity to travel to the future and the past, but not as shown in the movies.
To create a mathematical model, physicists used the concept of a space-time curve, which will, as it were, bend around a special capsule of time travelers. True, this capsule will have to move at the speed of light.
