In the Polessky district of the Kaliningrad region, in one of the households, a chicken began to lay green eggs. Among her kinsmen, she is no different. The owner of the bird, who has already become a local celebrity, is herself surprised by this metamorphosis

All the villagers already know about the unusual chicken in the courtyard of Natalya Mikhailova. Many have visited the yard to look at the miraculous laying hen. Olive eggs are surprising for some, for others - a storm of delight. They joke right away: "You don't need to paint for Easter." Now they ask for eggs, as they say, for divorce.

Natalya Mikhailova, a resident of the village of Novaya Derevnya: “My husband and I first thought that it was, in general, some kind of anomaly, then we looked - the second, the third. Already a pattern, then. At first they were afraid to eat them, but, of course, then they tried, very tasty, good eggs."

Natalya Ivanovna says that the "heroine" herself emerged from a completely ordinary egg. Back in May this year. Local experts immediately associated the anomaly with the test launch of the hadron collider in Europe. But the mistress of the village scholars is not listening. Moreover, the laying hen has already become her favorite - it consistently brings several eggs a day.

At the Russian State University named after Kant at the Department of Biology and Zoology, green chicken eggs are seen for the first time. At first they looked for a catch in the exhibits, everything is too unusual: they say, eggs are very similar to duck eggs, this is the absolute color of a duck egg.

Dmitry Bulgakov, Associate Professor, Department of Biology and Zoology, Russian State University Kant: “This is some kind of genetic abnormality characteristic of this individual. Perhaps this is a manifestation of some ancestral hereditary traits. The fact is that for some species of these chickens, as well as for many birds nesting on the ground, a camouflage, green color is characteristic."

Now Natalya Mikhailova is waiting: what color of eggs the other hen will carry, also black, with one brood. God forbid, you get blue! Or even more golden! Then people will be drawn into the courtyard like a zoo.
