Various peoples have legends about gods and heroes who lived in distant times and who were able to move through the air on winged chariots.

Plunging into the past, you come to the inevitable conclusion that ancient people possessed incredible knowledge. Areas in which there was such surprisingly high knowledge are countless. Let's dwell on one - aviation. Yes, the ancients undoubtedly had not only theoretical, but also practical knowledge of aviation. And there is a lot of evidence of this. So, in Egypt, a wooden model of a flying bird, made 25 centuries ago, was discovered. When a large copy of it was made, it turned out that the "bird of the pharaohs" has all the properties of a modern glider. Thanks to a carefully maintained aerodynamic profile, it soars and glides freely in the air. “The Egyptians never made models without an original,” one of the experts on ancient Egyptian art commented on this fact. Therefore, we have to admit the thoughtthat something resembling a modern glider might have been known in ancient Egypt.

Various peoples have legends about gods and heroes who lived in distant times and who were able to move through the air on winged chariots. In the literature of the Vedas, there was even a term for aircraft: "vimana" and "agnihotra". Agnihotra is a ship that rises into the sky.

But here's what is important: some of the texts that have come down to us give a rather detailed and realistic description of not only the appearance, but also the structure of aircraft. Many sources mention that the flight was accompanied by a loud sound. “When morning came,” we read in the ancient Indian epic “Ramayana”, “Rama got into the celestial chariot that Pushpaka sent him with Vivpisanda and prepared for the flight. This chariot moved by itself. It was large and beautifully painted. It had two floors with many rooms and windows … When the chariot made its way in the air, it made a monotonous sound. " At the moment of departure, however, the sound was different: "At the command of Rama, this beautiful chariot rose into the air with a loud noise." Elsewhere we read that when the flying chariot rose, "the crash filled all four sides of the horizon."

One of the ancient Sanskrit books says that at the moment of departure the chariot "roars like a lion." Was it a similar device mentioned by a Chinese source who reported that in the sixth year of the Tian Sheng era, “in the summer, in the fourth moon, a star the size of 1 dhow rolled down with a sound like thunder from north to southwest, illuminating the whole of the Celestial Empire. " In other cases, on the contrary, the soundlessness of the flight is emphasized. Perhaps we are talking about different flight modes or about different types of these devices.

Fire was seen during the flight. The epics of Ancient India say that the celestial chariot shone "like a fire on a summer night", was "like a comet in the sky", "flamed like a red fire" ("Ramayana"), "was like a guiding light moving in space "; she was “set in motion by a winged lightning”, “the whole sky was lit when she flew over it” (“Mahabharata”), two streams of flame emanated from it.

The memory of some "fiery ships" - "waffle", which left behind a "whirlwind of rushing sparks", preserved the legends of the Vikings.

But even more surprising are the descriptions of the internal structure of aircraft. The Sanskrit poetic source "Samarangana Sutradhara" devotes as many as 230 stanzas to the description of the design of aircraft and their use: "Strong and durable should be his body, made of light material, like a large flying bird. Devices with mercury and a heating device underneath should be placed inside. Through the force that lurks in mercury and which sets in motion the carrying vortex, a person inside this chariot can fly long distances across the sky in the most amazing way. Having entered it, a person can, like a two-winged bird, rise into the blue sky. " There are, says the source, vimanas, huge, "like a temple." On four sides, in accordance with the established rules (law, instructions),place large tanks filled with mercury. True, the translation of the Sanskrit word as "mercury" is very approximate. This word has many other meanings: quintessence, substance, elixir. Moreover, it is an alchemical term, i.e. rather, a symbol, followed by a value that is only open to those who know the key to it.

Having risen, the vimana immediately turned into a "pearl in the sky." Tibetan sacred texts, referring to flying vehicles, also compare them with "pearls in the sky."

And here is how another Sanskrit source, Ghatotrachabadma, describes the aircraft: “It was a huge and terrible air chariot made of black iron … It was equipped with devices placed in the proper places. Neither horses nor elephants carried her. She was driven by devices that were the size of elephants. " Another source says that copper, iron, lead are used for the construction of such an apparatus. Some sources mention black vimanas, others note that they had a metal surface: a celestial chariot, "shining like gold" (Ramayana). Obviously, if there were any real memories behind these messages, there were several types of such devices. And sources confirm this.

Judging by some descriptions, this device was round in shape: the airship Mahapadma ("Big Lotus"), mentioned by Somadevabhatta (XI century), the "shining ship" of Polynesian myths, on which the god Kane-milohai moved, resembled a shell in shape.

These devices had numerous rooms, windows, seating. These devices could hover, hovering in the air, and move over great distances "in the blink of an eye", "at the speed of thought." The last comparison belongs to Homer, who mentioned the people who lived in the North and traveled on these amazing ships. (The "Walfen", fiery ships from the Viking traditions, which they met in the northern latitudes, come to mind.)

Other Greek authors also wrote about the people who supposedly knew the secret of flying in the air. This people, the Hyperboreans, lived in the North, and the sun rose over them only once a year. The memory of the sun, which rose once a year, was brought with them by the Aryans who came to India 4 thousand years ago, from their unknown ancestral home. They also brought with them information about aircraft, which we find in Sanskrit sources.

Several images have survived and have come down to us, which can be interpreted as a memory of such devices. They convey, of course, not their appearance, but the very idea of travel in the air, outside the Earth, among the stars. In the tomb of Montemhet, 7th century BC, depicts a heavenly ship (boat) flying over the stars and among the stars. The person depicted in it holds the symbol of life in one hand, and death in the other.

The Sumerians depict a man in the same heavenly boat between the star and the Sun. On the territory of Peru in pre-Columbian America, they found an image of a stylized two-legged creature, decorated with the signs of the "stepped throne", a common attribute of the Egyptian goddess Isis.

The Chinese drawing of an air chariot depicts it flying above the clouds. One detail stops attention: the circle in front and behind the chariot. What is it? If there are wheels, then they would have to be on the sides. The Chinese alchemist and secret scholar Kohunt wrote in 320 AD that "some made chariots in the air." At the same time, he mentioned the rotating blades (blades) that "set this device in motion." Perhaps these words refer to the stylized circle that is visible in the figure.

Quite often the ancients tried to hide some knowledge, to protect it from the uninitiated. It would be strange if this was not done in relation to air chariots and their design. During the reign of Emperor Cheng-Tang (XVIII century BC), a certain of his subjects made a flying chariot and, testing it, took off into the air. A favorable wind carried him to a neighboring province. What does the emperor do - gladly accepts the made discovery? Not at all. According to the Chinese chronicle, Cheng-Tang "ordered the destruction of the chariot so that [its secret] would not become known to the people."

A Sanskrit source gives reasons for this prudence as follows: “The construction of these devices must be kept secret so that [this knowledge] does not fall into the hands of the ignorant. For this reason, knowledge bearing such fruits should not be made public, should not be spread about it."

Perhaps these fears were not built out of nothing. Several ancient texts mention the use of aircraft for military purposes. The descriptions of battle scenes that they give are made as if “from nature”, as an eyewitness could do: “We noticed in the sky something that resembled a flaming cloud, like tongues of fire. A huge black vimaana emerged from it, which brought down many sparkling (luminous) shells. The roar they made was like thunder from thousands of drums. Vimana approached the ground with unimaginable speed and fired many shells, sparkling like gold, thousands of lightning. This was followed by violent explosions and hundreds of fire whirlwinds. The army was seized by panic, horses, war elephants and many soldiers killed by the explosions fell to the ground. The army fled, and the terrible vimana pursued him, until it destroyed”(Mahabharata, Karnaparvana). And this source was created more than four thousand years ago!

Fears that flying vehicles could be used for evil are also found in later texts. A European author wrote in 1670: “The Lord will never allow such a device to be created; in order to avert the many consequences that can destroy civil and political rule among the people. " Then he enumerated the actions of the airship - it can drop bombs, bring down "artificial fire" from above, even, in today's language, "land troops."

The aforementioned ancient Egyptian "glider model" as a kind of material, objective principle fits into such messages. Another indirect evidence, possibly from the same series, is the so-called "Inca roads" discovered some time ago in the Andes. Aerial photography has shown that these are not so much expensive as a system of huge, correctly formed geometric and other figures, visible only from a certain height. The sides of the triangles, parallel lines of impeccable precision, stretch for 10-15 kilometers! Some figures are repeated in a clear sequence. A number of scientists believe that the Andes is home to the greatest astronomical calendar in the world, where lines express various astronomical patterns and paths of stars. Recently, similarly huge figures, distinguishable only from the air, were discovered in the De Maya and De Sihua Peruvian deserts. Scientists attribute them to the pre-Incan period. Are we right to assume that these gigantic images, visible only from a height, could have something to do with flying vehicles? It turns out that in America we too can find messages that make you think. The sacred book of the Quiche Indians "Popol-Vuh" tells about the four forefathers of this people, who, seeing something in the sky, began hastily to say goodbye to their relatives and wives and climbed to the top of the mountain. “We are going back to our people,” they said. "We have completed our task, our days are coming to an end." These people, the text says, “immediately afterwards disappeared there, on the top of Mount Hakavits. They were not buried by their wives or their children, because it was not visible when they disappeared. In Central America, a legend has been preserved about a certain powerful mistress, nicknamed the "Flying Tigress", who brought knowledge to people. And after some time she ordered herself to be carried to the top of the mountain, where she "disappeared among thunder and lightning." These legends are surprisingly reminiscent of others that arose in an area very remote from these places - in Southeast Asia. Both here and there we are talking about some enlighteners who traveled on aircraft and at the end of their "mission" retired on these aircraft. According to ancient Chinese sources, such reports are described, in particular, by the candidate of historical sciences I. Lisevich. The ancient Guandi dictionary, he says, describes four types of aircraft. One of them, in which the enlightener-alien of ancient Chinese legends Huangdi, moved, was cast in metal and had wings. Before the flight, he "collected water." It is known about another apparatus that when it was abandoned, its "head", which continued to radiate heat, was buried in the ground with great precautions. From the burial place, a cloud of steam emerged, which the locals had worshiped for many years. When the time came, Huangdi, like other enlighteners, left the place where he arrived. "… from above," the ancient text says, "a dragon with a mustache hanging down came down behind Huangdi. Huangdi climbed on the dragon, all his assistants and families followed him. (There were more than 70 people who ascended. The rest of the subjects could not ascend and everyone in a crowd seized mustache. The mustache broke off and they hit [on the ground] "From the burial place, a cloud of steam emerged, which the locals had worshiped for many years. A number of ancient Indian texts mentioning aircraft also refer to flight altitude. In order to show how high the hero rose in his air chariot, it is reported that he flew "above the kingdom of the winds."

Can we, modern humans, admit the idea that representatives of some previous earthly civilization possessed the knowledge necessary to try to reach other planets? Of course, this is hard to believe. Here is what, however, the sources say: "Through these devices (devices, devices)," we read in the Sanskrit text, "the inhabitants of the Earth can rise into the air, and the heavenly inhabitants can descend to the Earth." On these devices it was possible to move within the "Suryamandala" - the solar region (solar system?) And "Nakshatramandala" - the stellar region.

According to legends, the air chariots of the ancient Celts could also rise into the sky, where there are amazing lands, "palaces of the gods". There are a number of reports of individual visits to these "palaces of the gods" located outside the Earth. Taoists mention a certain "perfect person" Than Jan, who visited other planets and gained wisdom and knowledge there. Ancient texts claim that Huangdi, mentioned earlier, withdrew with his companions to the star Regulus (constellation Leo). There is another curious detail in these messages. One of those who flew there took something, after which he "temporarily died and was reborn after 200 years." According to some theorists, during long space flights exceeding the duration of human life, people will also plunge into a certain state of suspended animation, temporary death - biological time will, as it were, stop for them. Distance Regulus from the solar system - 85 light years.

Among the early Christian apocryphal books is the notorious Book of Enoch, or the Book of the Mysteries of Enoch. It tells how Enoch was taken for some time to some lands lying in the sky. There he was taught the basics of astronomical knowledge: the order of the Sun's movement, the reasons for the shortening of the day and the lengthening of the night, the lunar calendar, the phases and movement of the moon. “And Vretil,” writes Enoch, “taught me 30 days and 30 nights, and his mouth did not stop speaking. And for 30 days and 30 nights I have not stopped writing comments. This knowledge was taught to Enoch so that when he returned, he would communicate it to people on Earth. And again, an amazing detail. When Enoch returned, his children were older than him. Today we know that this is possible if a space traveler moves at a speed close to the speed of light: for him time flows many times slower, than for those who remain on Earth. But how could the ancients know about this? Are there some other strange messages that have come down to us related to this?

One of the translations of an Egyptian manuscript, written 15 centuries BC and containing the official chronicle of the reign of Pharaoh Thutmose III, says that to the horror of everyone “in the 22nd year, in the third month of winter, at six o'clock in the afternoon, a huge object appeared in the sky. form that slowly moved south. " The ancient Persian message about a certain person who built a complex aircraft and moved in it through the air dates back to approximately the same period. Another message dates back to the XIII century, more precisely, to 1290. In a Latin manuscript of one of the English monasteries, it is said that once over the heads of the frightened monks, who were driving the monastery herd along the road, "a huge, oval silvery body, like a disk, appeared, which slowly flew over them, causing great horror."Did the scientist and philosopher Roger Bacon (1214-1294), imprisoned for adherence to "secret knowledge", write about such devices? "Science makes it possible to create vehicles capable of developing enormous speeds, without masts and requiring no more than one person to control." Bacon emphasized that such devices move without the help of animals. "An apparatus can also be created," he wrote, "capable of moving in the air, with a person inside it." He also owns an important recognition, possibly related to what our story today is about. "The flying machines that the ancients had," wrote Bacon, "are still being made today." In this regard, we can cite the following episode, which is described by the French chronicle de Gabalis Discourses (1670). Referring to the appearance of some "flying ships"the chronicle reports that once in Lyon “three men and one woman descended to earth from this flying ship. The whole city gathered around them, shouting that they were sorcerers sent by Grimaldi, Duke of Benevento, the enemy of Charlemagne, in order to destroy the harvest in France. Four innocent people tried in vain to justify themselves, saying that they were local, that they had been carried away shortly before by amazing people who showed them unprecedented miracles and brought them back down so that they could tell what they had seen. "that they were carried away shortly before this by amazing people who showed them unprecedented miracles and lowered them back so that they could tell about what they saw. "that they were carried away shortly before this by amazing people who showed them unprecedented miracles and lowered them back so that they could tell about what they saw."

And here is a curious testimony from the famous Italian sculptor of the Renaissance Benvenuto Cellini, whom he mentions in his book. Once, while traveling, he and his companion “looked in the direction of Florence, and both of us emitted a great cry of amazement, saying:“Oh heavenly God, what kind of great body is so visible over Florence?”It was like a fiery log, which sparkled and published a great brilliance."

We find a closer mention of such aircraft to us in the famous Russian artist Nicholas Roerich. In his book "The Heart of Asia", dedicated to the trip to the foothills of the Himalayas, he wrote: "Sunny cloudless morning - the clear blue sky sparkles. A huge dark kite rushing through our camp swiftly. Our Mongols and we are watching him. But one of the Buryat lamas raises his hand to the blue sky: “What is it there? White balloon? An airplane? “And we notice: at a high altitude, something shiny is moving in a direction from north to south. Three strong binoculars were brought from the tents. We observed a voluminous spheroidal body, glittering in the sun, clearly visible in the blue sky. It moves very fast. We then notice how it changes direction more to the southwest and hides behind the Humboldt snow chain. The whole camp is watching the unusual phenomenon."

Is it possible to think that these are the surviving traces of a once-existing civilization, the very "flying machines that the ancients had" that Roger Bacon wrote about? Perhaps in this connection it would be possible to mention some of the messages that have appeared recently in the press. But here's what is important: today we can talk not only about the words of witnesses, not only about the impression of eyewitnesses. There are “material traces”. In 1976, on the banks of the Vaksha River, Komi Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic, local residents found an incomprehensible fragment, with a fist the size of, cast in white. As soon as it was scratched or knocked, sparks fell from the place of impact. The strange object, fortunately, fell into the hands of scientists. He was engaged in the All-Union Research Institute of Nuclear Geophysics and Geochemistry, the Institute for Physical Problems. S. I. Vavilov, Institute of Geochemistry and Analytical Chemistry. IN AND. Vernadsky Academy of Sciences of the USSR,Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys and some other scientific departments. The fragment turned out to be a fragment of a ring, cylinder or sphere with a diameter of 1.2 m, of unknown origin and of unknown purpose. This item was made no more than 100 thousand years ago (the uranium presented in it has no decay products). Thorium decay products indicate a closer date. However, the main mystery lies elsewhere: in the composition of the wreck. When studying it, precision gamma-spectrometric methods of analysis were used, including neutron-activation, neutronio-radiation, and X-ray radiometric. The object turned out to be composed of an alloy of rare earth elements: cerium - 67.2%, lanthanum - 10.9%, neodymium - 8.78%, and a certain amount of iron and magnesium. Uranium and molybdenum were found among the impurities. The conclusion of scientists: an alloy of artificial origin. Natural materials with similar composition and characteristics do not exist on Earth. Moreover, under terrestrial conditions, atmospheric oxygen usually reacts with iron and oxidizes it; therefore, alloys, as a rule, contain its oxide forms. Iron is present in the fragment, but there is not the slightest trace of its oxide forms. Does this mean that the alloy was made outside the Earth? On the other hand, the analysis of the isotopic composition accurate to hundredths of a percent corresponds to terrestrial ratios. The conclusion of scientists: with a high degree of probability, we can assume that the alloy was made on our planet (or within the solar system). But on Earth today, it turns out, the technology needed for this does not exist. The alloy was made from powder, the smallest particles of which consisted of only a few hundred atoms. It was made by cold pressing at a pressure of hundreds of thousands of atmospheres. Our civilization has not yet created and has not come close to the equipment that could press parts with such pressure and such size.

The message about this find, made, as already mentioned, in 1976, at the beginning of 1985 was published in the newspaper "Socialist Industry". Secretary of the Department of Physical Chemistry and Technology of Inorganic Materials of the USSR Academy of Sciences Academician N. M. Zhavoronkov commented on this message as follows: “A sample with the obtained composition could well have been obtained in terrestrial conditions. Based on the available materials, we can say that the sample found is not a natural mineral, but an alloy of artificial origin. The question of under what conditions and for what purposes it was obtained and part of which structure it is, is subject to objective study. " As you can see, orthodox scientists again turn a blind eye to the obvious.

From all of the above, one conclusion can be drawn: there was a mighty civilization (or even civilization) on our planet when it had aircraft heavier than air in its arsenal. But what does all this have to do with us? Maybe it’s worth pondering why this civilization disappeared? Perhaps because of some fatal mistakes in your development? Then we need to study these mistakes and not repeat them. So that later our descendants would not examine our planes and marvel at them: here, they say, what powerful people were …
