Pisac is one of the largest Inca monuments. It occupies the territory of an entire mountain!

The main part of the monument is made up of huge tracts of terraced fields.

But I was interested, first of all, in the sacred part of Pisak, where the so-called “stone of the Sun” is located.

This part of the monument lies on a narrow rock ledge (like in Ollantaytambo). I immediately noticed that the “sun stone” is surrounded by a semicircular wall.

A similar design was at Machu Picchu - a solar observatory. Having walked around this building, I saw that it was not a separate stone, but a rock, cut with niches and steps along its entire surface.

And buildings made of processed squares are located on top of it, inscribed in the relief of the rock. Or rather, a rocky temple similar to the Kenko and Sacsayhuaman complexes. Only on top of them there are no Inca buildings.

Moreover, in Machu Picchu the “sun stone” in the observatory is also just the tip of the “iceberg”. Below it is a cave with a temple of Pachamama, adjacent to it is a bathhouse made using the technique of “carved boulders”.

Pisac also has a system of cascades that lead the stream into the “sacred bath of the Incas”.

So I once again confirmed the hypothesis that the Incas and, possibly, their much earlier predecessors used the sacred places of some extremely ancient civilization, the civilization of "carved boulders" and rock temples, a civilization that lived, perhaps, according to the laws of a different logic.

One of the first confirmations of such a hypothesis may be the finds of monuments similar to rock temples in places where the Incas were absent. For example, in the east of Bolivia.
