Dolls have frightened people for a long time. With their dead gazes and soulless eyes, they invite those who look at them to feel anxiety and fear. Unsurprisingly, there have been many stories of supposedly possessed dolls. There are some dolls that change, grow in a way and evolve in bizarre ways. Here we take a look at a couple of cases of supposedly possessed dolls that change and exhibit strange qualities that make them stand out even among their scary brethren. Our first story from paranormal explorer Jim Eaton. The report revolves around an unnamed family who once bought a doll for their little daughter over Christmas. The little girl loved her and played with her for years, but the kids are growing. The doll was dear to the girl, so she didn't want to throw it away, and her parents just kept it with a bunch of other things in the attic of the house. There was nothing particularly creepy or sinister about this doll at the time, and there was no reason to suspect anything. Until they opened a kolobok with her 11 years later.

One day the family was cleaning the attic, getting rid of cobwebs and old junk, when they stumbled upon a box containing what used to be one of their grown-up daughter's most valuable possessions. Opening the box, they were shocked by what they saw. Although the doll was in good condition while it was being stored, they put it in a sealed box, but the doll somehow aged, not like an old toy, but rather like a person. The doll was designed to look like a child, but now it looked more like a magical old man covered in wrinkled flesh with tired, lifeless eyes surrounded by black circles. The once strong arms and legs were now stiff and unbending, also wrinkled and old. How was the doll able to age like a human, even though it was nothing more than a piece of plastic?

The family decided to get rid of the doll, unable to explain what had happened to her. The story made a lot of noise on the internet and generated a bit of speculation about what was going on in the house. Some doll collectors have speculated that this is simply a result of the materials used in making the doll deteriorate and rot with age, but that doesn't explain why it had such a wrinkled appearance, or why it should have been damaged when carefully stored in a sealed box. just over a decade. Dust and degradation is one thing, but this thing really looked like a little old woman. There is also the idea that the doll was actually possessed or cursed, or received some kind of spiritual energy from the girl for so many years of playing.

Perhaps just as strange, if not more so, is the story of a doll that had hair that never stopped growing. The story of the infamous doll known as the Okiku doll begins in Japan in 1918, when a boy acquired it during a trip to the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido to give to his little sister, Okiku. The little girl was fascinated by the doll and played with it every day, even named it after herself, Okiku. They were inseparable and went everywhere together until tragedy struck the next year, Okiku became seriously ill. The girl soon died of complications from flu and fever, and the inconsolable family placed her beloved doll on the family altar in memory of her daughter.

Shortly after the grief-stricken family placed the doll on the altar, they noticed something strange. The doll's black hair, which was originally cut to about shoulder length with neat ends in the traditional Japanese style, began to grow longer day by day, and the ends of the hair became different in length, unlike the straight cut she had previously. Hair quickly grew all the way down to the wrist at the doll's knees, causing the alarmed family to conclude that Okiku's spirit had somehow entered the doll. Even when the doll's hair was cut, it soon grew inexplicably and always stopped at knee length.

In 1938, the Suzuki family moved to Sakhalin, but did not want to take the mysterious doll with them. Since they believed that their daughter's spirit lived in the doll, they did not want to throw it away and so instead brought it to the Manneji Temple in Iwamizawa City (Hokkaido, Japan). The family explained the unusual properties of the doll to the priest of the temple, but he accepted it anyway and was soon able to see for himself that indeed the doll's hair continued to grow. Hair trimming became common in the temple, and soon photographs of a doll with hair of varying lengths adorned the shrine. To this day, the doll remains in the Manneji Temple, housed in a modest wooden box, and her hair continues to grow mysteriously no matter how often it is cut. The Okiku doll has become quite famous throughout Japan, its story has been adapted to novels, films and traditional Kabuki plays.which broadened and dramatized the story to include more ghostly, scary elements, such as the giggling of a doll, sobbing, crying, or walking, that the family never actually reported.

It's unclear what happens to the creepy, growing hair of that creepy, pale-faced Okiku doll. No one has really been able to explain how they have grown steadily for most of a century. Is this really a supernatural phenomenon or some kind of hoax? Samples of the Okiku doll were taken and analyzed, and it was determined that the hair was indeed human, but this does not necessarily indicate a supernatural origin. What's going on with this doll? Is this some kind of trick, or do we not understand the paranormal forces that make hair grow constantly? Are these just urban legends? Are they true examples of very unique dolls or are the cursed dolls? What can we say about these cases, except that they are terribly strange? The dolls remain mysterious, and are imbued with supernatural powers. If you run into one of them, then try to burn it.
