The term "parallel worlds" has long been considered unscientific and was used mainly either in fantastic works, or in the works of mystics and esotericists. However, in recent years, much has changed around us, and the efforts of fanatical "fighters against pseudoscience" only proved their own pseudoscientific essence. For today, modern advanced science, and especially theoretical physics, is quite seriously considering the possibility of the existence of parallel worlds and multidimensional space-time within the framework of superstring theory or M-theory.

One such modern popularizer of advanced science is the American physicist Michio Kaku, who writes in his work entitled Parallel Worlds:

Thus, the advanced view of modern science on our Universe is quite seriously different from the one we are used to from school textbooks, but a hopelessly outdated paradigm within which the Universe looks like a soulless inanimate mechanism, accidentally built by some elemental forces from elementary particles and existing only within the framework of three-dimensional space-time … Meanwhile, the most fantastic assumptions of the past, despite the resistance of ossified dogmatists-retrogrades, are today becoming a scientifically grounded reality as part of the constant development and change of our knowledge about the world around us, which invariably lead to a change in the scientific paradigm.
