As long as there are ghostly phenomena, reports of poltergeists, and numerous evidence of this. There is a place for this strange story, we go to the quiet town of Hartford (Connecticut, USA), in 1850, a Presbyterian pastor named Eliakim Phelps lived with his second wife, a widow who had four children of different ages, the youngest was 3 years old, and the eldest is 16 years old. They lived a peaceful life, and Phelps had a good reputation in the city, but strange events were about to shake the serene home, and set off an incomprehensible and very strange process of poltergeist phenomena with some rather unique episodes.
The story allegedly began on March 10, 1850, when the Phelps family returned from the church and found their home completely ransacked. Furniture was knocked down everywhere, dishes were scattered on the floor, there was a mess throughout the house, but when the family cleaned up the mess, they found something rather creepy and strange among the scattered furniture in one of the rooms. They found 11 small figurines that appeared to be made of clothes, paper, and various objects, 10 of them female and one male. Although the room was a complete mess, these dolls were carefully arranged in a circle and placed in poses that suggested they were praying, complete with miniature bibles in hand, but the strangest thing was the one sitting in the center of the circle. There was another doll in the center, but it was not human, but rather looked like an ugly, evil dwarf with another figure hanging above it in the air,as if levitating.
The frightened family set out to lock the rooms and keep an eye on them, but the figures continued to appear sporadically, each time they were meticulously made from cloth and paper, down to the last detail. In many cases, these dolls appeared in closed rooms, which were closely followed, and no one could understand who made them or where they came from. Dr. Webster came home to investigate the phenomenon, he was shocked like everyone else. It was already rather strange and disturbing, but the unexplained phenomena in the house are becoming more frightening.
Objects were thrown across the room with invisible hands to break against the walls, windows were broken, all clocks were damaged, and invisible forces broke walls and furniture. People were also attacked by an invisible aggressor, objects were set on fire, and they flew through the air, chasing people around the house. Weirder phenomena also occurred, such as a plant growing out of the living room carpet, which had leaves decorated with hieroglyphs, inscriptions appearing on walls and other surfaces when witnesses looked at them, objects falling from the air, dishes bent into strange uniforms, clothes were found cut and torn, and people were thrown into the air. Many times these things happened in full view of reporters and other witnesses.
Indeed, many of these phenomena took place around the older boy and girl, and were most pronounced in their presence. Because of this, at the time, it was believed that the children may have been playing some kind of prank, but it was not possible that all this was due to the tricks of the children, and the dolls that continued to appear all this time were too good qualities for children to create. There were attempts to conduct sessions and try to communicate with any possible spirits, the family often received cryptic answers and incomprehensible messages that no one really could understand. So were they ghosts or spirits? What was going on here? What about the meticulously crafted dolls and all the other oddities that plagued this simple family? They were evil spirits, falsifications,pranks or something else? Although the case of the poltergeist artist is largely forgotten, it is one of the strangest cases, to which no real answers have been received.
