As Evgeny Vladimirovich, a military man from Kuzbass, said, he and his friend Alexander met Bigfoot in 1987 in the Sayan Mountains. They went hunting by car along the Abaza - Ak-Dovurak highway, then dismounted and walked towards the Marankul and Anzerkul lakes. They walked slowly, because they did not wait at the agreed place for the third participant in the campaign - a common friend from Odessa and hoped that he would catch up with them on the way.
The day before the meeting with the yeti, it was a rainy morning. The travelers walked to the lake, it was two hours before it. When they began to climb the mountain, I noticed on the road, which was blown away by the rain, traces of a person, - says Evgeny Vladimirovich. But these tracks were unusual, very huge. However, we thought that they were washed away by the rain, or simply this imposition of a trail on another trail, we did not betray much importance to this.
“By lunchtime we crossed the mountain range and went to the valley to the river. The places there are incredibly beautiful, colorful, century-old cedars, finger-thick wild garlic. An elk came out to meet us and began to attack us, only a shot made the moose run away into the thicket. And a little later we began to look for a place to sleep,”an eyewitness says.
He said that they decided to spend the night in a hut, arranged it and lay down, when suddenly there was a whistle. The friends thought that a friend from Odessa had caught up with them, and they began to whistle in response. This whistle was heard again, but in different parts of the forest. And he was kind of protracted, unusual. As if a person whistled, not exhaling, but on the contrary, drawing in air. You could also hear that someone was walking towards the fire.
“We were suddenly seized by a strange anxiety, we already understood that this was not Zhenya, he would not have gone alone at night in the taiga. I could not resist and whistled loudly, with two fingers, we heard branches breaking near. The thought came: a bear! We did not sleep until morning. At dawn they saw that the grass was crushed, everything was trampled. After a quick bite, we went upstairs to the loaches. And then, indeed, they saw a bear. But the beast was rushing along the edge of the clearing, he did not care about people, he was frightened by something. It is worth noting that both suddenly began to feel unwell, although they were young, strong, and before we had no headaches in the forest,”the officer says.
The hike continued, and in the evening the friends again camped at the edge of the forest.
In the middle of the night, Evgeny Vladimirovich's friend woke up in a cold sweat, an inexplicable anxiety seized him. The moon was shining brightly and someone very nearby was whistling again. “Suddenly Sashka said quietly: Zhenya, get out quickly, take your gun! I got out, and my friend silently gestured with his hand straight. Bigfoot stood about 15 meters away from us. The creature was two meters tall. With very strong and long arms. With one hand he grasped a young cedar, the other hung down almost to the knee. The Yeti was covered with gray fur, his eyes, like those of an animal, shone with a red light, but I could not see the face,”says Evgeny.

Friends immediately decided that they were a man, and the man was not aggressive, but rather curious. When the friends realized this, they began to shout out friendly phrases to him: "For some reason, we called him Gosha, shouted:" Come to us, Gosha, do you want some tea?"
My friend went in his direction, and I was seized by fear, suddenly he would rush, and I whistled. After that, the creature walked away. He walked strongly, but the movements were cautious, and they felt plastic. We did not sleep until dawn, and in the morning we saw distinct prints of Gosha's footprints. The peculiarity was that the thumb was not like that of people, but protruded to the side.
In 1987, I told this story to several acquaintances and colleagues. Someone believed in this, someone did not. And I only regretted that before the campaign I laid out my Zenith at home, and could not photograph anything. The place where we met Gosha was named by Zhenya Dolina Yeti and I, - this is how the officer from Novokuznetsk finished his story.
