Many stories are circulating among the people about the mythical beast nicknamed Chupacabra (goat vampire). The name itself bears Spanish roots, (chupar - to suck and Cabra - to goat), and gives the name to the legendary blood-sucking creature, which has become the object of popularity in several countries, especially in Puerto Rico, Mexico and the United States.

Its name, the creature known as the "goat vampire" - earned primarily the fact that in most cases, the fanged bloodsucker is said to attack livestock and suck blood like a pump, mainly feeding on goats.

As always, we are considering unusual stories, and we do not want to convince you of anything. We will consider the information and facts that are less attractive from the side of legends and clichés, but, knowing the history of observations, we will select facts that have at least some confirmation. We will exclude cases where the emotions of showing off in the media prevail over credibility.

The fact is that numerous stories about the capture of a mysterious beast do not find their confirmation, since those people who demonstrate the remains of the Chupacabra ultimately refused to give biologists material for research.

The first evidence of the emergence of the Chupacabra is documented in the first half of 1995 from Puerto Rico. Since then, evidence has grown by leaps and bounds, and the eerie creature is reportedly seen across virtually the entire American continent.

Eyewitnesses, who allegedly saw Chupacabra with their own eyes, give various descriptions of the bloodsucker. But mostly they claim that it is a creature about the size of a small bear or a large dog.

Some researchers even noticed that, according to the descriptions, Chupacabra resembles a gargoyle - as it is displayed on the bas-reliefs of medieval Europe, which our ancestors suspected of having links with dark forces.

In fact, similar incidents of bloodsucking in animals occurred in 1975 in the small town of Moka, starting with slightly earlier known cases. And although initially the claims were made to a vampire (El Vampiro de Moka), later these deaths were attributed to a satanic cult.

Chupacabra appeared

As already mentioned, the first officially recorded appearance of the Chupacabra took place in March 1995 in Puerto Rico. Then eight goats were found dead, where each of the animals had three tiny punctures on the neck. The victims' blood was completely pumped out, as if a powerful vacuum cleaner was working here.

In August of the same year, on a farm in Canovanas in Porto Rico, more than 150 head of cattle and domestic animals were similarly killed. And this is already a serious reason for panic. Moreover, reports of deaths of animals whose blood was sucked fell from farmers from the Dominican Republic, Argentina and Bolivia, Colombia and Honduras, El Salvador and Panama, Brazil, USA, Mexico and others.

Most often, witnesses describe the Chupacabra as a creature about the size of a large dog with scaly skin, spines on its body, and kangaroo-like movements. This is extremely suspicious about the origin of the mysterious creature, but eyewitnesses also note the unpleasant smell of dichloride that accompanies the Chupacabra.

In addition, some evidence points to red eyes. You understand that such a filthy thing could really break out of the dungeons of Hell, as many suggested.

However, the descriptions of the Chupacabra are different. We can note that the most frequently reported creature was in three ways:

“First, it’s a devilish creature with gray, scaly skin. The head is similar to that of a dog, and the mouth has long protruding fangs. The growth of a bloodsucker reaches 1 meter and a creature unknown to science moves like a kangaroo.

- The second type of Chupacabra resembles a small bear, with rough skin and gray hair on its head. The head is like that of a dog, and, like that of the first type, has a fanged mouth.

- The third variant of the Chupacabra appears as an unknown species of wild dog without hair, which has a mane on the back and noble fangs in the mouth. Obviously, all three types of blood-sucking demon have claws.

The corpse of a creature with the listed characteristics was found in Nicaragua. However, experts from the local university examined the body and found it was just a feral dog. July 2004 - A farmer from San Antonio, Texas, kills a wild animal that looks like a bald dog, but this does not solve the mystery of the night bloodsucker. A DNA test at the University of California found it was a coyote suffering from psoriasis.

October 2004 - The remains of two animals are found in the same area. Could a whole family of nightly horrors be found? But no, biologists in Texas examined the remains and found out that it was a coyote infected with psoriasis.

April 2006 - the Russian Internet is covered by information that Chupacabra has appeared in Russia as well. The reports say that since March 2005, we have a terrible beast that kills animals by drinking their blood dry. One night, 32 turkeys are killed. The next evening, 30 sheep are killed in a neighboring village. Death signs point to the bloodthirsty Chupacabra. It remained unclear what kind of nightmare it was.

August 2007 - Four farmers find the decomposed corpse of an unknown animal. To identify the smelly remains, they lock the animal's head in the freezer. The night before, almost 30 chickens died in one of the houses on the farm. But biologists at the University of San Marcos, Texas, based on DNA samples, identified a coyote with skin conditions that led to hair loss and blue-gray body color.

January 2008 - Having heard about the terrible beast, the inhabitants of the Capiz province in the Philippines come to the conclusion that it is the chupacabra that kills their chickens. Two of the local residents claim that they saw a creature that looked like a large dog. August 2008 - Brandon Riedel captures an unknown dog-sized animal with a long, pig-like snout and short front legs with a camera mounted in a car.

Chupacabra is the awakened Alien

September 2009 - CNN aired video footage of an unknown dead animal. The report noted that the animal acquired certain taxidermy problems from rat poison. Everything is happening in the Texas area, and the locals are vividly discussing the topic that this could be the body of Chupacabra, but the authorities are trying to hide something.

Yes, rumors of a terrorizing animal beast are growing and multiplying. There is even a version of fans of cryptozoology that Chupacabras is actually a creature alien to the planet! It was not born on Earth, but came from the depths of space. It is even possible that the evil bloodsucker was dragged to Earth from the Moon dead. Allegedly, this creature was resurrected in the laboratories of military researchers by crossing its DNA with a rat.

According to one NASA witness (clearly an anonymous case), the monster was brought to us by the aliens themselves, to test its ability to survive in our world. Indeed, some eyewitnesses talk about the appearance of unidentified flying objects, shortly before or shortly after the discovery of traces of the vital activity of these blood-hungry creatures.

Other voices support the idea that these animals are the result of genetic experiments in the United States. They say the bloodsuckers managed to escape from a secret research center in the unique El Yunque Biosphere Reserve. The research base was destroyed during severe storms in early 1990, and the military was unable to maintain a position in terms of security in the region.

Do you think it looks like science fiction, looks like quiet madness against the backdrop of world conspiracy theories? Well, yes, we all think so, but only five years after the death of the laboratory, Chupacabra appears with red eyes in the night.

According to Barry O'Connor, a biologist at the University of Michigan, all creatures that people call chupacabra are coyotes affected by one disease or another, such as scabies. According to him, the symptoms that cause scabies can explain most of the properties attributed to the mystical Chupacabra - alopecia, calluses and a foul smell.

O'Connor believes that sick coyotes are too weak to hunt in the wild for food. Whereas livestock becomes easy prey for them. In principle, this is a fairly plausible theory explaining such a phenomenon as the Chupacabra without aliens and secret laboratories. Although she is not in a position to say - what are coyotes doing in the Russian open spaces?

Speaking about these bloodsuckers and extremely mysterious creatures, one thing can be said for sure, by now there is no reliable information about who Chupacabra really is.
