The night robber completely destroyed several large herds of chickens. Only the roosters survived. A stray dog is suspected of what happened.

Irina, a resident of the agricultural town of Bolshiye Motykaly, said that the beast visited her in the courtyard on the night of January 10.

The metal mesh that fenced off the chicken-walking area was broken. Then the beast, in all likelihood, entered the barn through a hole of 30 by 40 cm, made for free movement of chickens from the street to their home and back. The hole was not covered with anything - nothing like this had happened before. According to Irina, she kept 51 chickens.

When my husband went to feed the chickens in the morning, he saw a picture of destruction. The birds lay strangled. There were no wounds on them, only one had a gnawed back. Everything was in feathers - apparently, the predator chased the birds for a long time before strangling, the owners assume. Only the rooster survived.

Irina's house is located on Vishneva Street. This is not the outskirts of an agro-town, there is no forest nearby.

As the villager told by phone, the day before the animal had visited the neighbors: it had penetrated through the gate, which was poorly covered. The chickens were also strangled, and several roosters survived.

Residents of Bolshoye Motykal began to discuss the incidents in their group on Viber. Several more similar incidents occurred over the next four days.

Then the residents of Bolshoye Motykal turned to the district police officer. He arrived and recorded the data on the incidents. One of the villagers said that after his chickens were strangled at night, he found a dog in the yard in the morning. She buried the chicken. The owner of the courtyard tried to close it in the yard, but it escaped. It turned out that she had seen the same dog more than once - she went into the yards.

According to Irina, the police called the service, which carried out the shooting of stray dogs. Since then, no incidents of attacks on poultry have been reported in the Viber group.

Not only Irina lost a large number of poultry. At her closest neighbors, the night robber strangled 18 and 50 chickens. The villagers, having collected all known cases, considered that they had lost more than 300 chickens in a few days. Almost all of them had only roosters. However, no one reported that there were attacks on other animals.
