Nails were found nailed to the cross of Jesus Christ, the name of the stirring material created by journalist and documentary filmmaker Simkha Yakobovich. He claimed to have found these same nails. One was in a coffin. which was legibly engraved with the inscription "Joseph Bar Kaifa" and which, among other things, contained the remains of a 60-year-old man.

The second nail was in the grave next to the chest. This is very strong evidence of the body of the same Caiaphas - the terrible high priest who approved the execution of Jesus Christ, as well as the remains of his family members. According to the logic of Simchus: if the nails were also hidden in the tomb, it means that Caiaphas and his family attached great importance to them, therefore they not only preserved them, but also transferred them to another world. The question is, what nails could have been so valuable? Of course, only because of the crucifixion of the Son of God, in the organization of which Caiaphas actively participated. Scientists have questioned not only the authenticity of the nails. The coffin was sent to Tel Aviv University for an expert opinion.

And so! Only recently, experts from the archaeological department confirmed: the burial ground is real, it is almost 2000 years old! The bones of Caiaphas and other members of his family were indeed in it. “The names of representatives of several generations of the Caiaphas family are engraved on the coffin,” said the head of the expert group, prof. Yuval Goren. For example, one could read “Miriam, daughter of Yeshua, son of the high priest Caiaphas Maaziah of Bet Imrei”. So, Caiaphas is not a fictional character, but Jesus existed. Scientists have confirmed that the Bible describes real events. And the gaozdi pointed out by Simcha deserve special attention. He suggests that after the crucifixion of Jesus Caiaphas was horrified, repented and believed. He took the nails to his grave, possibly in the hope that they would help him in his afterlife.
