There is some documentary evidence and leaked data on the development of unusual aircraft in the Third Reich. It is clear that such work was carried out only in an atmosphere of the strictest secrecy, however, a number of Western sources mention how, after the fall of Czechoslovakia, having received some new military and scientific potential, in Germany they immediately intensified research in new areas of technology development, not yet mastered country of the world.

There are various versions about the "flying discs" of the Third Reich - these are the versions that the Nazis obtained the data for their creation as a result of contacts with aliens and before finding the sources of ancient knowledge stored in semi-mystical eastern manuscripts. There is also a very real, completely "earthly" version, according to which the technical thought of talented German engineers, fueled by emigrants, including from Soviet Russia, and documents captured in the conquered countries, surprisingly outstripped and left far behind the developers from the USA, Russia and England. France does not count at all: it has never been distinguished by the development of military-technical thought.

The Germans created two scientific groups, simultaneously carrying out research and development work. Later, this principle was adopted and successfully applied in the Soviet Union, when they began to actively work on the creation of nuclear weapons. One of the groups was hidden by the Nazis in Prague, since Czechoslovakia, turned by the Germans into a protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia, as well as the puppet Slovak state, quickly became the "backyard of Europe" that did not attract attention. The main events of World War II took place first in the West, then in the East. While observing the necessary secrecy measures, Prague proved to be one of the safest places to keep the secrets of new aircraft. True, the British intelligence tried to develop activity there, relying on the agents of the emigre Czechoslovak government, but this did not bother the Nazis:their counterintelligence services were highly experienced and did not hesitate in the means of suppression and intimidation.

The Prague secret design bureau or, as the Germans said, "fuppu" was headed by the engineers Schriever and Habermole. According to some reports, they managed to achieve serious success and create a prototype of a fundamentally new aircraft in the form of a disk: it was tested in February 1941. It is important that this aircraft had the ability to take off vertically, which for a long time later could not be achieved by anyone in the world.

The second group, also operating in the strictest secrecy, was based in Dresden and Breslau. It was headed by engineers Mite and Belontse. Unfortunately, there is practically no information about any of the talented German scientists involved in the development of this problem. Most of the documentation was destroyed by the Nazis when the Allied troops approached, equipment exploded, scientists were evacuated or, like Werner von Braun, fell into the hands of the advancing Americans. And then they were secretly transported by airplane overseas. Our intelligence did not get such trophies, and what they managed to take is still strictly classified.

Judging by some data, engineer Belontse managed to achieve the most impressive results and significantly overtake his colleagues. Without a doubt, he used a number of technical innovations developed by Schriever, Habermohl and Mite, and also relied on the first prototype of the "flying disc" created in Prague. However, he went the farthest.

It is characteristic that after the collision with the "flying discs" the American Admiral Byrd, who allegedly saw them with his own eyes, spoke of the rotating lower part of the German aircraft. In the "disk" created by Belontsa, exactly such a principle was used, like a kind of a helicopter with a main rotor from below, not from above. The "disc" was a kind of wheel, in the middle of which, where the axle is usually, there was a fixed cockpit, in which there was a reclining seat and control levers, and below, under a streamlined casing made in the form of a flat disc, the propeller rotated - a ring with blades changing their direction. Similar to the principle of helicopter flight, by tilting the blades at a certain angle, it was possible to fly straight, up or in any direction. Only the helicopter tilts the whole machine and the propeller,and on the "disk" only the blades worked for this.

Presumably, the developers of the "disc" faced a serious vibration problem, and Belontse urgently had to look for a technical solution. He increased the size of the extraordinary aircraft and provided a cockpit for two pilots, strengthened the engines and added special steering mechanisms, made of the type used on conventional aircraft. The Germans called their new secret machine, made in the form of a disk, "vertical takeoff aircraft."

Work begun in 1938 on the creation of a new type of aircraft progressed at a very fast pace, and in 1942, allegedly, had already created a prototype of the "vertical take-off aircraft" developed by Belontsa, which was in no way similar to any aircraft that existed in the world at that time. Moreover, the designer provided for two versions of the prototype "disk" - the first had dimensions up to forty meters in diameter, and the second about seventy. If these data correspond to reality, then for that time they were just gigantic machines. They used engines of a completely unknown before this type, invented by the Austrian motorcycle designer Viktor Schauberger. By the way, none of the samples or models of the motor developed by him or the documentation about it fell into the hands of the Allies. Schauberger's invention remained an unsolved mystery. In addition, the Belonets disks originally used twelve small jet engines obliquely located along the diameter of the casing, supposedly helping to cool the main engine of the Schauberger design and creating a rarefied atmosphere under the aircraft, which greatly helped it to easily rise into the air.

If you believe the surviving fragmentary information about the top-secret German project of "flying discs", the engine invented by an Austrian engineer belonged to the realm of fantasy: it supposedly worked on water! Perhaps Schauberger implemented the principle of water splitting? But now, after many years, it is very difficult to find the truth - the work was supervised by an SS team specially created by order of the Reichsfuehrer SS Heinrich Himmler, who carefully monitored the observance of state secrets of the Third Reich. The orders of the Reichsfuehrer SS were carried out by his subordinates immediately and without fail.

The new aircraft allegedly received the code name "Belonce disk" and passed experimental tests on February 19, 1945. It had retractable landing gear on short struts, could easily fly in any direction, developed a speed of over two thousand kilometers per hour and climbed to an altitude of about fifteen thousand meters. True, it remains unclear how the pilots were able to withstand such overloads and oxygen deficiency without special suits and pressure helmets used by modern aviation for flying at high speeds on the border of the stratosphere.

Nevertheless, fragmentary and fragmentary data on the tests of German "flying discs" exist. True, it is difficult to fully vouch for their reliability: the Nazi special services worked very seriously in this direction, and then the special services of all the allies in the anti-Hitler coalition. Designer Belonce disappeared without a trace at the end of the war. There are several versions regarding his disappearance, ranging from aliens who took him into space with them, and ending with a secret trip to the USA or export to the USSR. Some researchers quite seriously put forward the hypothesis that the designer Belontse himself was none other than … an alien! He also invented an amazing engine. And then, so that it did not fall into the hands of earthlings, he destroyed everything.

It seems that this is a far-fetched version: everything was already in the hands of earthlings! And not the most respectable and humane. More plausible is the version with secret dispatch to Soviet "sharashka" or overseas. But if Belontse ended up in Russia or the United States, he would certainly be forced to continue work and sooner or later some information leaked out about the designer. As far as is known, Schriever and Mite, who were colleagues of the inventor Belonze, ended up in the United States, and Mite even actively participated in the American project of creating a flying disc "Avrocar".

Most likely, Belontse was secretly taken out by the Nazis themselves, or he became one of the unknown victims of a terrible meat grinder at the end of the war. In any case, the mysteries of the "Belonse disc" remained an unsolved mystery, as did the fate of one of its main creators.
