Even Rama, who was Narayana-Vishnu himself in an earthly body, needed a teacher-sage nearby who would help to clarify the mystery of what the world, the universe and infinite consciousness are. But even a divine Disciple on Earth had to make efforts to realize what is what, to remove the veil of ignorance from his eyes and to see the truth of things.

But thanks to the inquisitiveness of Rama and the patient wisdom of the divine sage Vasishtha, the invaluable treatise "Yoga Vasishtha", written down by the sage Valmiki, remained for those hungry for finding the truth of themselves, which can lead the inquisitive, non-lazy and aspiring, with the highest auspiciousness, to the point of gaining Knowledge.

Vasishta replied:

Truth or absolute existence-awareness-bliss is beyond thought and understanding, it is the highest tranquility and omnipresence, it is beyond imagination or description. The ability to conceptualize naturally arises in him. This self-understanding is considered to be threefold - subtle, dense and middle. The intellect that comprehends these three states calls them satva, raja and tamas. Together, these three qualities make up what is called essence, nature, nature. Misunderstanding is nature, and it is threefold. This is the source of all beings, outside of it is the highest.

These three qualities of nature (satva, raja and tamas) are again subdivided into three, that is, subtle, medium and dense in each. Thus, we have nine categories. These nine categories make up the entire universe.

Sages, ascetics, perfect sages, celestials, gods - this is the sattvic part of ignorance. Among them, the celestials are the dense (tamas), the sages are the middle (rajas) and the gods are the thin (satva) constituent parts. Everyone in the sattvic category is not reborn and therefore is considered liberated. They exist as long as this world exists. Others, wise, liberated during their lifetime, reach the abode of the gods, exist there for the entire period of the existence of the world, and then are finally liberated. So this part of ignorance became self-realization! Stupidity arises in wisdom, as waves arise on the surface of the ocean, and stupidity dissolves in wisdom, as waves dissolve in water.

The distinction between waves and water is unrealistic and exists only in words. The distinction between ignorance and wisdom is also unrealistic and exists only in words. There is neither ignorance nor even knowledge! When you stop seeing knowledge and misunderstanding as two different entities, then what exists exists. The reflection of the truth in itself is called ignorance. When these two concepts are abandoned, what remains is the truth - maybe it is something, maybe it is nothing! It is omnipotent, more empty than emptiness and at the same time completely not empty, because it is filled with consciousness. Like the space inside a pot, it is indestructible and is found everywhere. This is reality in everything. As a magnet makes iron objects move by its mere presence, so it causes cosmic movement without any intention on its part. Because they saythat it does nothing.

This whole seeming world with all moving and nonmoving creatures is absolutely nothing. Nothing ever became material and physical. If the conceptualization from which the concepts of existence and non-existence grows is destroyed, the realization arises that all these individual souls are just empty expressions. All relationships that arise in the heart due to misunderstanding are seen as non-existent. Even when a rope is mistaken for a snake, no one can be bitten by it!

When there is no self-awareness, there is foolishness or delusion. When one's own essence is realized, the shores of infinite intellect are reached. When consciousness considers itself its own object of awareness and observation, there is stupidity and delusion. When these subject-object concepts are transcended, everything that enveloped reality disappears. The individual is only a personalized mind. Individuality ceases with the cessation of reason, and it remains as long as the concept of individuality remains. As long as there is a pot, there is also the concept of space inside this pot, when the pot is broken, there is only infinite space, even where there was previously an imaginary pot.

Liberation is achieved when you achieve a state of supreme calm, after intelligent exploration of the essence of yourself and after this exploration has led to inner awakening. Complete liberation is the attainment of a pure being who has consciously transcended the limitations of the mind after careful examination. The wise say that a person is established in pure existence, or Brahman, only after examining the essence of truth, as described in the scriptures, in company and with the help of the enlightened wise.

As long as psychological limitations and conditioning remain in the heart even in an embryonic state, this is considered a state of deep sleep, from which rebirth occurs, even if there is an experience of calmness and even if the mind seems to be immersed in itself. This is an inert state, a source of unhappiness. This is the state of unreasonable and immovable objects, like stones, etc. They are not free from self-limitations, but self-limitation is hidden and hidden in them, like flowers hidden in seeds (seeds germinate, grow and bring flowers) or hidden pots in clay. If there is a seed of self-limitation, conditioning or tendency, then it is a state of deep sleep, not perfection; when all tendencies are destroyed and there is not even the possibility of the emergence of new ones, this state is called the fourth (outside awakening,dreaming or deep sleep) or transcendental.
