Mindfulness (awakening of consciousness) is the main key practice for every person, which, passing as a red line throughout our life, adds harmony, efficiency, clarity, accuracy and precision to everything we do. If there is a feeling that the situation is disharmonious, and the actions are wrong, you just need to awaken awareness. And this is the best way out of any situation.

What is mindfulness?

Awareness is the awakening of consciousness, continuous attentiveness at every moment of life, when during the performance of any actions there is no wandering in thoughts, but attention is directed to what is happening specifically at the moment.

Ordinary perception is like a semi-drowsy state in which, somewhere on an unconscious level, there is a "frame-by-frame" scanning of what is happening at the moment. Then, the information "received" in the form of images goes on to more detailed processing with the help of the mental apparatus. Thus, a person loses contact with pure reality, which is replaced by his (karmically) conditioned thoughts. Mindfulness awakens dormant consciousness.

The purpose of mindfulness practice is to divert attention from thoughts about what is happening to what is happening in the moment "now". As one Zen master said about his practice: "When I eat, I eat, when I carry water, I carry water." This is an extremely important, one might say, key moment (and essence) of the practice of awakening and evolving our consciousness.

Essentially, mindfulness and meditation are synonymous. The difference between meditation is that while doing it, you practice mindfulness in the most comfortable "greenhouse" conditions. However, a person cannot spend years sitting with their eyes closed. Moreover, mindfulness in motion is a more advanced practice that requires more maturity of consciousness. And what's the point in messing around all your life? Even if the movements are meaningless, their absence also has no meaning! Otherwise, life would not have left the state of unmanifest nirvana. The point is to make your attention continuous, not distracted by thoughts for a moment. Thanks to such a constant vigor of consciousness, an incredible subtle experience appears, as if you have awakened. At first it seems like a miracle that this amazing freedom and fullness of the continuous "now", the feeling of being has always been with you, and how strange that no one notices this and does not speak about it.

The surrounding space and objects are deprived of size, because all these experiences have only a mental color. When looking at the usual forms, it becomes obvious that their size is convention. It is difficult to say whether they are big or small, far or close, and this does not hinder movement at all, and even vice versa - makes it more penetrating and accurate.

With a further deepening of awareness, a feeling of eternity may appear, as if what is happening here and now has always been, and the distances to objects can seem infinitely distant. The body begins to be perceived as if from the outside. The speed of all phenomena also loses its usual criteria, and even in simple movements and feelings, an incredibly fast flow of sensations is experienced. These experiences cannot be conveyed in words. Nothing beats direct experience.

How to Master the Practice of Mindfulness?

At first, the practice of mindfulness is almost impossible for most people to do. But over time, especially in conjunction with regular sitting meditation, mindfulness becomes more natural and spontaneous. As a rule, it takes years of self-improvement to fully realize it. It's really not easy, but it is the development of awareness that is the real key to personal evolution - this is the thread that pulls along all the parameters of a successful personality.

The most difficult battle is the battle with yourself. And the more we put in the effort, the more difficult it becomes. The whole point is to stop making efforts and suppress the mind. It is necessary to give up all efforts, give up and relax your head. Then awareness flows spontaneously, like natural awakening. The man in the street is in continuous tension of the mind, which prevents a clear perception of reality. A beginner practitioner, often through his efforts, tends to further increase this tension, which leads to stress and nervousness. Correct practice happens effortlessly when the mind is relaxed. Consciousness flows by itself, you just do not need to interfere with it.

Compared to "random" natural cycles, personal development is greatly accelerated through deliberate practice. As your awareness deepens, all those (karmic) sensations that you were destined to experience on events begin to be lived for no apparent reason, without dependence on external circumstances, and pass with the least resistance - not as long and painfully as at the event level. Although the resistance and level of humility of spontaneous relaxation is also individual.

For a while, while personal karmas are released without dependence on events, from the outside you may look strange, or even inadequate to others. To avoid this, there is the practice of "stalking" (the teachings of the Toltecs), the "illusory body" (in Buddhism), when you, without burdening others with your amazing experiences, behave normally, in accordance with the event level, and not with your inner world, which other people won't see or understand.

At first, discovering new worlds, almost everyone has an ardent desire to show their discoveries to others. In most cases, this is not worth doing, because everyone stubbornly clings to their own picture of the world, being wary of any changes. You can try to share knowledge carefully, without any imposition or offense, if they don't want to hear you. Each world lives by its own laws. And if a person needs to experience the precious experience of worldly illusions, you can hardly change his destiny.

In everyday practice, to maintain awareness, it is permissible to use attitudes with the help of which you can learn to introduce yourself into the appropriate state. These attitudes, as it were, awaken understanding and change the state, if you surrender to them without any doubt. These can be attitudes given at the end of the article "Technique of Concentration and Meditation (Part II)", and a useful attitude in communication (given in the article "Fulfillment of Desires - the Miracle of Self-Programming") - "Nobody can do otherwise." And also such everyday attitudes as: “I already am in continuous now”, “My attention is already spontaneous and continuous” or any others that suit you personally.

Every technique and every analysis is worth relating to your own life. It is important to understand that everything useful that you have read about can and should be applied right now. If you put off "for the summer" it is an illusion.
