You can remember everything - for this you need to develop your abilities.

Bad memory makes life difficult. Yes, you don't need to memorize your friends' numbers these days, they are all on your phone, and the diary will tell you what to do. But when, in everyday dialogue or, even worse, at a working meeting, the necessary facts, or even the names of the people sitting next to them, fly out of my head, it turns out ugly. And unprofessional.

Of course, you can write yourself "cheat sheets", but you also need to remember about them! To train memory, there are not so complicated techniques. Try them and you will be amazed at their effectiveness!

Don't let your soul be lazy …

Memory deteriorates, including "thanks" to modern gadgets and devices, because the human brain is designed in such a way that if you stop loading it, then neural connections in it are destroyed, and it begins to "lazy" - poorly assimilate and retain information. Even after the weekend, let alone vacation, it is difficult to concentrate on work or study - it takes time to get back to normal. Hence the main rule: do not let the brain relax, always load it.

Try to remember what you usually write down: recipes, shopping list, addresses. Don't panic if you don't succeed right away - the brain needs to be taught to do this.

If you have a free moment, for example, on public transport, do not immerse yourself in your own thoughts, and even more so in the messages of friends on social networks: reading even entertaining literature will be more useful for your memory. Especially if after reading you try to retell what you read to yourself. Solving crosswords and various puzzles is no less useful.

Watch out for the opposite: don't force the brain to work without a break. If you start to "get confused", take a break - breathe fresh air for 15 minutes to saturate the nerve cells with oxygen.

Do not take on several tasks at once, even while talking on the phone, do not do something along the way - distraction of attention overloads the brain.

Nothing extra

Good memory is managed memory, not one that holds a lot of information. If you remember the names of the mountains in Latin America, but do not remember the name of your mother-in-law, your brain is not trained to work.

The best exercise to learn how to sort information is regular conversation. You should not only listen carefully to your interlocutor, but also consider him, noting the features of his appearance, behavior and clothing. After the conversation, repeat the main points of the conversation to yourself and try to describe the interlocutor. These are not at all two classes at once - visual and auditory memory work separately.

Another exercise is a 20-minute walk, ideally in nature, but also in your home area.

For the first half, walk slowly, without thinking about anything, concentrating on even breathing. Only on the way back pay attention to the surroundings, but as if you have not seen it before. Look at the details without thinking about them. At the end of the walk, try to understand what you remember the most - this way the brain will learn to fix only the essential.

Have time to remember

To train memory and attention, it is recommended to do some simple exercises every day.

1. Write on three sheets in a column of ten simple words of 4-5 letters, for example: seine, elephant, wardrobe, train, stream, school, neighbor, sled, tiger, rain. Study the list for a minute or two, then try to write it from memory. Compare with the original and move on to another, and then a third. After 15 minutes, repeat everything again. It is advisable to make new lists every day.

2. For a minute, concentrate on some "wrong" object - lines on the palm, a branch of a tree outside the window, a pile of papers, etc. Try to depict on paper at least schematically what you saw. Compare with the original. Nothing, it will be better next time.

3. Recordings of poetry readings will be required, as a last resort unfamiliar songs will do. Listen to the line of text, turn off recording and repeat the line. Gradually increase the volume - 2 lines, 3 lines, a whole verse. Yes, even simple singing along with the song develops memory.

Make life easier

All this is good, but until these exercises bring results, time will pass - for someone a month, someone for six months. And if you need to show miracles of memory right now?

Visualizing information by composing a story keeps it well in memory, even if the story turns out to be absurd. For example, the words from exercise # 1: I caught an "elephant" with a "net" and put it in a "closet", and I myself took the "train" across the "stream", but at the "school" I met a "neighbor" who was riding "Sled" "tiger", we could not talk, because the "rain" began.

In the same way, if you choose an image corresponding to the form for each number, then any number can be memorized from the story composed of these “hieroglyphs”. For example, 212-85-06 - "swan" (2) flew to the "pillar" (1), where another "swan" (2) was waiting for him, they built a "snowman" (8), then chopped him down with a "sickle" (5) and began to throw the "hoop" (0) on the "snail" (6).

Creativity of this kind develops associative thinking, which, in turn, improves memory and attention.
