Video: Stephen Hawking's Stark Warning for Humans to Leave Earth 2024, March
Anonim

Stephen Hawking believed that we would soon finish off the Earth and that we must move to other planets. No one has any doubts about the first point, but everything is complicated with resettlement.

All fiction is written and filmed only for the sake of the moment when the crew of the spacecraft meets intelligent monsters and they try to destroy it. In fact, everything will apparently be somewhat different. If an earthly ship arrives on some exoplanet, the local lepidopteran beast-lizards will cry and begin to solder the crew with milk from pipettes, because it will look deplorable.

First, most likely, no one will survive in space for more than a year: the cosmonauts will start a banal radiation sickness. At an altitude of 400 kilometers, where the ISS rotates, there is a residual atmosphere that absorbs cosmic rays, and the Earth also blocks the station from them. But with a long flight, there will be a lot of radiation. Even if they come up with a material for protection, a small amount of rays, colliding with the atoms of the ship, will create a neutron flux inside it.

A couple of years ago, Korean researchers simulated such conditions for rats, and they destroyed stem cells in the center of memory. And just now neurophysiologists from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, N. I. PC. Anokhin and the Kurchatov Institute conducted a similar experiment and found out: even at low doses of radiation, stem cells stop developing, although they do not die.

Scientists from the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences also irradiated rats and learned that they are becoming even more alarming. And who would not! Even if you exclude radiation altogether, weightlessness remains.

A year ago, it became known that immunity in zero gravity goes crazy and begins to work actively, mistaking this incomprehensible situation for a disease, which is fraught with autoimmune diseases.

Add to this the disturbance of circadian rhythms in astronauts due to the lack of a change of day and night and possible depression due to living in the same room with other people and drinking each other's recycled urine. All this, of course, can explain why aliens do not come to Earth. And if they do, they are gray, skinny and with eyes half-faced.
