Italian scientists, led by Dr. Pier Paolo Petrone of the Federico II University Hospital in Naples, took a closer look at the black vitreous mass that was among the remains of one of the victims of the Vesuvius eruption in 79 AD - the same, which destroyed the ancient Greek cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum. Analyzes have shown that mass was once the brain. Scientists have found traces of characteristic proteins and fatty acids in it. As reported by the portal LiveScience with reference to the journal The New England Journal of Medicine, which published the results of the study.

It looks like the man was trying to escape at the seaside. He hid in a small room at the house that stood there. But the so-called pyroclastic flow, expelled by Vesuvius - hot gases, volcanic ash, debris, left no chance. According to Petrone, the ambient temperature in which Herculaneum plunged, where the victim was, exceeded 500 degrees.

As a result, from the victim, whose remains were examined by Petrone and colleagues, a small part of the skeleton and that very black vitreous mass remained.
Pompeii was located a little further from Vesuvius - gases and ash reached here with a temperature of about 300 degrees Celsius. They could no longer evaporate the flesh - the bodies were "baked" in the ashes, leaving their prints in it - there are thousands of them in the area of the disaster. Archaeologists dig up these 3D-formations, fill them with some kind of plastic mass, thereby recreating the "sculptures" of those who died in the hell.

At the end of July, 28 July 2019, the Chinese lunar rover "Yuytu-2" ("Jade Hare"), which was delivered to the far side of the moon by the "Chang'e-4" apparatus, found a strange substance in a small - two-meter - crater. The Chinese called it "jelly-like structure".
The "hare" was canceled the rest and was sent straight to that very crater. They pointed at the substance one of the "hare devices" - a spectrometer (Visible and Near-Infrared Spectrometer - VNIS), which allows you to determine the composition of the object under study by the light reflected from it. But they determined only the color - black.

Experts from NASA joined the "identification" of the substance. We examined the photographs of the “object” taken at close range, and called the substance, you will not believe it, a black glassy mass - just like the Italians found their discovery at Vesuvius.

According to the Americans, glass lies in the crater, which was formed from molten lunar rock from the impact of a meteorite. This hypothesis is given by the Space.com portal.
What if there is someone's brains that once became glass under the influence of high temperatures? As in Pompeii. This happened on Earth, why couldn't it be on the Moon?
The assumption, to put it mildly, is fantastic. But the similarity of the lunar and terrestrial "masses" is amazing. At least in the pictures.
By the way, the current find is not the first of its kind. Clive Neal, a moon specialist at the University of Notre Dame in Indiana, recalled that a similar black glassy mass was picked up on the moon by astronaut Garrison Schmitt during the Apollo 17 expedition in 1972. Virtual archaeologists claim: a humanoid figure is visible in the picture taken on Mars by NASA's Mars rover Curiosity robot. They made out a head, an arm, a leg, and even fingers on a hand.
The body is pressed down by a stone slab. As if the Martian was the victim of some kind of disaster. Possibly a volcanic eruption. According to one of the hypotheses, giant volcanoes that woke up at once, and destroyed the neighboring planet. Scientists, sinning on the Martian interior, mean primarily the largest volcano in the solar system - Olympus Mons. The height of this monster is 27 kilometers - three times more than that of Everest, its diameter is 550 kilometers. A little further away there are three more impressive volcanoes - Arsia Mons, Pavonis Mons and Ascraeus Mons.

On the 714th Martian day, the robot photographed other remains. They are in the foreground, half buried in the sand. But the head, part of the torso and the arm are visible. The head is big. Such heads, according to descriptions of eyewitnesses, are usually "carried" by aliens. The body is clearly petrified. Possibly also exposed during a sandstorm.

Apophenia, as said
NASA, which is usually silent about the mysterious "finds" on the Moon and Mars, which are now abundant in the Internet, recently commented on them at once. The speaker was Ashvin Vasadava, one of the leading collaborators working with Curiosity. He stated that he would be glad to see at least some artifacts on Mars. But they are not there. Alas, there is nothing abnormal, man-made or alive. And all the findings of virtual archaeologists, zoologists or paleontologists are a manifestation of pareidolia - the ability of some people to form illusory images from the details of real relief. As a result, they see what they would like to see, "infecting" others with their illusions.
Pareidolia, on the other hand, is a kind of apophenia - the ability to see certain ordered structures, to notice non-existent relationships in random and meaningless data.
Therefore, it is possible that enthusiasts who find a kind of Pompeii on the moon and on Mars just suffer from apophenia. Which is not boring at all.
