Almost everyone knows the unusual phenomena of the loss of ships in the Bermuda Triangle. The experts decided to analyze the water depths of this place.

It is no secret that the Bermuda Triangle is being explored far and wide. The researchers dived many times to the bottom of these mysterious waters. To consolidate research work, scientists carried out geological work in Bermuda.

Current research confirms that the Bermuda Triangle is indeed considered a challenging place to explore the seabed.

Firstly, it has a non-standard relief - there may be shallow water in one zone, and after a few meters there will be depressions of great depth. Secondly, due to the specifics of the structure, the water temperature often changes in exactly the same way as the water flow.

Indeed, more than 5 sea reliefs of various shapes have been found in the Bermuda Triangle. Due to this diversity, water circulation works in a completely different way than in familiar sea areas.

Most of the Bermuda Triangle is shallow water, accounting for 55% of the total territory. In some places there are plains. Only 18% is a plateau. The smallest share are seamounts.

Almost all the studied seamounts have their own names. However, only some mountains have not received names due to their tiny size and inaccessibility for detailed studies.

The most interesting thing is that the height of the mountains can range from 150 meters and deeper. Such an ambiguous relief is obtained due to the complex and specific atmospheric circulation. However, many scientists are surprised at how unusual the deep reliefs of the Bermuda Triangle are.

Also, the various mountain shapes present in one of the seamount systems of the Bermuda Triangle have not yet been explained. Scientists have noted slopes with a slope of 10 to 40 degrees Celsius or more. Such a phenomenon is extremely rare in nature and has not yet received an accurate explanation.

The seabed of the Bermuda Triangle is a trough. It got this name because it intersects with the island of Puerto Rico. The depth of the bottom is more than 8 thousand meters, which is approximately equal to the depth of the Atlantic Ocean.

It is worth remembering that the trench is wide enough in size, and therefore, the existence of other formations is possible - mountain caves and slopes. Science fiction writers still cite in their works examples of the depths of Puerto Rico and the Bermuda Triangle, where creatures unknown to mankind live at the very bottom.

It is noteworthy that there is a lot of limestone at the bottom of the Bermuda Triangle. Scientists have found more than 6 kilometers of limestone, which is very mysterious. In addition, rare corals can be seen in the Bermuda Triangle, which usually grow in the north.

Despite so many surprising and unexplored facts, it is still not clear exactly how the Bermuda Triangle can contain shallow water several meters deep and the deepest trench in the Atlantic Ocean. The intersection of too different depths raises many questions among scientists.
