Strange things are happening around Bell Hill. Many locals say they saw people disappearing into thin air. And the drivers and motorists allegedly saw a young woman in a bride's dress, who suddenly appeared in the night right in front of the hood.
Mysterious sightings around Bell Hill
Due to a series of unexplained supernatural events, the road through Bell Hill has the reputation of being a frightening place. Amateurs paranormally flock there like moths to the light of a lamp.
There is speculation that the young woman is the ghost of the 22-year-old bride, Suzanne Brown.
Suzanne died along with two other women in a tragic car accident while on her way to her wedding on November 19, 1965. Suzanne was to marry Brian Wetton. Unfortunately, she lost control of her car and died.
Soon after the accident, people began reporting a pale, ghostly woman standing next to the road.
- About four years after the tragedy, the man reported that he saw two pedestrians walking towards him. He was stunned when they suddenly disappeared into thin air. Even stranger was the fact that he claimed to have seen them a couple more times after.
- In 1971, James Skene was driving home from work when a young girl suddenly appeared in front of his car. He gave her a lift to Chatham, but when she got out, according to the man, she disappeared into thin air.
- In 1992, three drivers, independently of each other, reported that they had hit someone who was walking along the road at night, but no evidence or body was found.
- 56-year-old driver Ian Sharp observed a female figure wandering along the road. When the car drew level with her, the lady suddenly threw herself right under the wheels. Horrified, Sharpe jumped out of the car and rushed to help. He knelt down and looked under the car, but there was no body there. No evidence of a collision was found, as were no casualties.
- One autumn evening, a young woman named Rene was cycling home. Suddenly a dark mist enveloped her and something hit her hard. She fell to the ground and looked, but there were no visible objects on the road. Why she fell and what struck her remains unexplained.
