Strange sounds can be heard in the house number 13 on Lenin Street. Employees of the institution located in this house, in the evenings, hear the sounds of footsteps near empty, closed offices, in the hall, in the attic.
After the October events, various institutions were located in this house under mystical number 13, it has never been residential. Nevertheless, employees who have to stay late at work are often frightened by the strange steps that sound from an empty hallway, closed offices and even from the attic. On the second floor of the mysterious house on the east side there is a spacious hall with five vaulted windows and a suspended ceiling.
“In the silence, behind the doors of the offices, we hear someone starting to walk around the hall,” eyewitnesses say, “footsteps are clearly heard. At first, we left the offices to see the one who was walking. But the sounds of footsteps fell silent at once, there was no one in the hall."
After talking to each other, the women got down to work again and after a while they heard steps again. Then they got used to this phenomenon, but over time, surprise was replaced by anxiety. I wanted to leave this house as soon as possible.
At the same time, the women denied that an outsider could have climbed to the second floor of their building: "The front door is locked from the inside in the evening, and therefore no one can enter the house."
Moreover, footsteps are heard not only from the hall, but someone also walks in the attic. And in general, the employees say that this house is inhospitable to us - as soon as we moved here, everyone began to have some unpleasant stories in their lives.
Naturally, the question arose: "Have such phenomena happened with the predecessors who occupied this house earlier?"
"Yes," I was told, "and they heard the footsteps of the ghosts."

Local historian Gennady Ryzhkin decided to investigate this phenomenon and that's what he found out.
On the plans of the city of Livny in 1900 and 1829, city blocks are shown, there were no churches on the site of house No. 13. But on the plan drawn up before 1780, where the haunted house now stands, shows a small square with a cross. This means that there was a church here. In 1615, according to the census book, this space to the north of the small fort (Livensky Kremlin) was occupied by the Streletskaya Sloboda. We read in the census: "In it (the settlement) is the Church of the Great Martyr of Christ Paraskeva, called Friday, and the other church of St. Basil the Blessed - wooden dumplings." Churches built of wood usually stand no more than a hundred years old, so at the beginning of the 18th century they were dismantled due to dilapidation, although on the plan until 1780, which we wrote about above, one church still remained. Streletskaya Sloboda itself by the end of the 18th century began to settle in the place where it now stands. It is possible that people were buried next to the church. So ghosts may appear - the images of former Livans. But this, of course, is the version.
The second version is as follows. For many decades, this house was a bank. Maybe the room radiates the energy that it received as a result of the fact that it used to store money that went through many hands of the owners and, as it were, accumulated their energy, and the owners of the money were different people. This, of course, is an amateurish, unscientific assumption.
Be that as it may, mysterious steps are heard from time to time in the house number 13.
