Vampires and werewolves - what are they? The fruit of a rich human fantasy or a terrible reality? No one can answer this question and confirm their statement with facts, but there are a great many rumors about vampires. We will refrain from speaking in favor of this or that version. We will describe several stories told by people, but the accuracy of the latter is highly questionable.

So, many people think that some people are obsessed with the vampirism complex. All the laws of horror films apply to them: vampires drink the blood of living beings, do not like bright light, as well as the smell of garlic, they feel good in a cemetery.

In the 18th century, cases of vampire attacks on humans were not so rare. Attacks of the dead who came out of their graves on living people were especially widespread in today's Serbia.

No less interesting are the stories about those who, perhaps, are the central figures of the oldest superstitions - about werewolves. The plots of the Beast Man have been used by many talented writers. Is this mysticism or reality? Unknown.

So, there are a lot of stories about vampires and werewolves, so let's tell some of them.

Story 1

At the end of the 16th century, the following incident occurred in France. At that time in the province of Auvergne there was a very wealthy M. Sanroche. His life was dignified both in terms of wealth and honors, and in terms of family well-being.

Promotional video:

Mr. Sanrosh's house was located on a hill and the magnificent view from the windows was pleasing to the eyes of members of the Sanrosh family. Marvelous meadows, clear streams, endless forest and majestic mountains, shrouded in a bluish haze, testified to the serenity of the existence of people in this land.

Once, when Sanrosh was sitting at the window and enjoying a magnificent view, a servant reported to him that a visitor was asking for him. He was a well-known hunter and fisherman in the district named Ferol. It should be said that Auvergne was an ideal place for hunting and fishing. A large number of fish, game and large animals allowed hunters to be unafraid of competition.

The purpose of Ferol's visit was to invite his friend to hunt together, but since he had other plans, at first one hunter went to hunt down the deer.

Subsequently, his comrade joined him, who managed to complete his affairs.

They met in a narrow ravine between two hills. As he got closer to his friend, Sanrosh realized more and more clearly that something was wrong. Ferol was very excited, his clothes looked rumpled, and there were some strange stains of unknown origin on them. You might think it was blood. But what happened ?!

After some time, having caught his breath and calmed down as much as possible, Ferol told the story that happened to him.

Before he noticed deer in the forest, he had to walk for a long time in search. The hunter did not manage to get closer to shoot, and finally, finding himself in the thicket, Ferol felt that he had gone too far.

He decided to return home, but suddenly he heard a terrifying growl. It came from a ravine overgrown with ferns, because of which the creature making eerie sounds was not visible. But as soon as Ferol stepped back in horror, a huge wolf jumped out of the ravine and rushed at him. Ferol fired, but missed, and the wolf with a furious roar tried to gnaw his throat. The only thing that saved the hunter was that he was able to hit the beast on the head with a rifle butt. However, stretching out on the ground for a short time, the wolf jumped up again, ready to attack again.

Drawing his knife, Ferol took a step towards the terrifying beast, and they grappled in mortal combat. They fell to the ground and rolled on it, grappling in a terrible embrace. Thanks to considerable dexterity, Ferol managed to inflict more and more stabs with a knife. Fortunately, the victory went to the hunter.

When the man and the beast were near the fallen tree, the wolf caught on the trunk with its paw. At this moment Ferol struck a strong blow, and the beast, howling long drawn out, ran away.

Ferol examined his injuries, and it turned out that he escaped with only scratches. As he related this disturbing story, he mentioned that he had brought a severed wolf's paw with him. But what was the surprise of both men when, unfolding the bag, they found … a human hand!

With a cry, Ferol dropped the terrible trophy to the ground. Friends bent over him and saw that several rings were worn on thin fingers. But what is it ?! In one of the rings, Sanrosh recognized with horror and amazement the one he once gave to his wife!

Arriving home, Sanrosh found his wife in bed in a semi-conscious state. Needless to say, her hand was severed. A doctor was invited and treated the wound.

When, after a while, Sanrosh finally spoke with his wife, she confessed that she was a werewolf. The unfortunate man had no choice but to inform the authorities about this, and after the trial his wife was sentenced to be burned.

Story 2

This story also happened in France, but already at the end of the 18th century. For a long time, the area around the small village of Saint-Sever terrified the inhabitants of all nearby villages. The fact is that wolves attacked people very often there. Many died as a result of these incidents. Moreover, wolves could attack not only at night, but during the day.

Finally the wolf was caught.

But what was the surprise of the inhabitants when it turned out that the creature that had kept them in fear for a long time was none other than … a man. He was a young lad, a young man working as a shepherd for a wealthy man. The guy's name was Jean.

During the trial, Jean was asked many questions. First of all, the judges were interested in when he discovered the ability to turn into a wolf and what was the reason. The young man said that one day he met a demon in the forest, who subjugated him. As a reward, he gave Jean the ability to transform into a wolf.

After the trial, the young man was executed, after which the attacks on people and animals in the indicated area completely stopped.

Story 3

In the 17th and 18th centuries, all kinds of myths and legends about vampires were very common in Eastern Europe. Almost all people were convinced of the incredible abilities of the dead, and just then the next amazing incident happened.

In Serbia, a peasant named Peter, who lived in a small village, died. Less than two months after the burial, another nine peasants died in the same village, and this happened within a week.

Before his death, all the peasants declared that the deceased Peter came to them and sucked blood out of them. This can be considered the delirium of the dying, but the coincidence of what different people have said raises some doubts.

The wife of a deceased peasant only aggravated the current state of affairs when she confessed to her neighbors that her husband had come to her supposedly to change his shoes. Subsequently, the widow of the deceased moved to live in another village.

The locals decided to open the grave and see with their own eyes that the transformation of their fellow countryman into a vampire really takes place. After they managed to convince the authorities to allow this, the opening of the grave took place. What did the locals see?

It turned out that for a rather long time that has passed since Peter died, his body has practically not undergone decay. The deceased himself was as if he had just fallen asleep. Peter looked even younger than when he was alive. Blood was found on his lips …

Story 4

And the next incident occurred on the territory of today's Yugoslavia in the 18th century. One of its main characters was a young man named Arnold Paole.

After Paole ended his military service, he returned to his native village. There he met a girl and already began to think about marriage. However, his bride, who, by the way, was called Nina, began to notice that something was wrong with Arnold. He stopped smiling, some unknown to her thoughts constantly occupied him.

After asking her fiancé about the reason for her sudden apathy, Nina heard the following answer. The fact is that during Arnold's military service, he was visited by a deceased person who returned to the world of the living. Now the thoughts of premature death do not leave the guy for a moment.

It seemed that after Arnold shared his disturbing thoughts with Nina, nothing more bothered him. This was in fact, but soon he was badly injured during the harvest, and after some time he died.

After his death, troubling days began in the village. There were rumors among the locals that Paole was visiting them, and soon several people actually died. This contributed to the decision of the local residents: they wanted to open the grave of Paola.

Having done this, people saw that the deceased was lying on his side, and his lips were stained with blood. He looked just like alive.
