I was placed in an induced coma in March 2011 after three heart attacks and two cardiac arrests in about 4 hours. Luckily for me, I was sitting in the front desk after my husband took me there when I complained of feeling unwell.

I had cardiac arrest and was taken to the intensive care unit where I was put into a coma. The doctors had to support my heart and take about 40 minutes to revive me. The initial prognosis was not good and my family was told to expect the worst. They didn't know if I would survive in the next few hours or not. You're in a coma right now, but I want you to know that doctors and nurses work very hard to get you well. Try not to worry. I will leave you with my family for a while, but know that I will be there and will soon return to you."

The next thing I remember is that the young nurse returned to my bed. She touched my arm and said, “Sorry, Vanessa, but you can't stay here any longer. You have to go back, but don't worry, I will accompany you. Everything will be fine. I saw a receding light, but my soul was calm.

My next sensation was feeling unwell. I felt uneasy and realized that I was in the intensive care unit and had to fight. Then there were some very vivid, strange dreams associated with my struggle, nightmarish and very frightening. These dreams had no meaning and I find it difficult even to explain them. After that I started to recover …

What makes me believe that my experience was real and took place? I know that I was helped in heaven while I was in a coma. No one will ever convince me that this did not happen or did not happen to me!
