In September 1991, two mountaineering tourists Helmut and Erika Simon made an accidental find in the Tyrolean Alps. These were the remains of a strange man, frozen into the ice along with all their equipment at a height of a thousand meters in the thawed valley of the Etztal valley, along which the climbers of the Simon wife were descending. They thought it was the body of a recently deceased climber and called the police.

Forensic scientists, examining the mummy, concluded that the body is much older than originally thought. After carbon analysis of the remains, the forensic experts confirmed the same. This became a world sensation, because the age of the alpine mummy was more than five thousand three hundred years, that is, it was the oldest remains in the entire territory of Europe. The mummies were given the name Etzi and taken to the Institute of Anatomy of the city of Bolzano. During the study of the mummy, it turned out that the death of this person was not natural. Scientists have discovered the tip of an ancient arrow in his body. Someone shot him in the back. Death occurred from blood loss.

To this day, Ötzi's mummy is kept in the Archeology Museum of the Italian city of Bolzano in a refrigerator. The remains are being studied by scientists of different profiles: doctors, cultural historians, Italian and Swiss forensic experts, and even botanists. It was possible to establish Otsi's age. He was about forty-six years old. Medical research has shown the presence of an ancient man, oddly enough, a modern disease of arthritis, as well as infection with one of the varieties of helminthiasis - the parasitic worm whipworm.

The terrible discovery subsequently forever changed the lives of people who found the mummy and everyone who, in one way or another, was in contact with the remains of the ice man. In the twenty years since the unfortunate discovery, eight people have already died, including researchers, scientists and journalists, who tried to reveal the secret of the frozen climber. The first victim of the mummy was the forensic scientist Rainer Henn who examined it. On the way to Innsbruck with the results of the examination of the remains of the ancient climber, he died in a car accident under rather strange circumstances. Next on the list of mysterious mummy-related deaths was the conductor Kurt Fritz. In 1993 he was hit by an avalanche in the mountains.

At a 2005 scientific conference related to the study of the mysterious mummy, one of the archaeologists conducting this research, Konrad Spingler, was asked about the curse of the mummy and the deaths associated with it. But Spingler only laughed in response and called all this fiction of the press. Literally a couple of days after this event, he was gone. And after him, his colleague Tom Loy, who has been working on the remains from the first days of the discovery of the ice man, also died. These were the third and fourth victims of the mummy.

During the examination of the mummy, it was discovered that the body of the murdered person had fifty-seven mysterious tattoos resembling hieroglyphs, which were combined into some kind of system. But scientists could not figure out the meaning of these signs. Most likely, this was how a special caste of people who were priests was celebrated in ancient times.

At the time of discovery, an ancient leather amulet, a stone knife, a copper ax and a bow with arrows were found next to the deceased. Everything showed that in his society this man held a high position, perhaps even was a leader.

Scientists were greatly puzzled by the fact that the arrows and a knife found next to the mummy belong to the Paleolithic period, and the ax corresponds to a later copper age. According to this archaeological paradox, it turns out that the prehistoric priest, somehow, could travel in time.

From time immemorial, different peoples have had their own priests, shamans, sorcerers who have superpowers and communicate with the subtle spiritual world. People believe that shamans, having entered a trance, can control the forces of nature and speak with pagan gods. Shamanism is based on the cult of ancestors. Shamans and priests can communicate with the world of the dead and are, as it were, intermediaries between the world of the living and the world of the dead. In their opinion, three worlds make up the entire immense Universe: upper, middle and lower. All of them are united by the tree of knowledge, roots that go deep into the earth, and branches stretching to the sky. Performing the ritual of sacred kamlanie, shamans are able to travel across these worlds.

A situation similar to the discovery of the ice man occurred in the south of Altai, when in July 1993 on the Ukok plateau, in the excavations of the Scythian mounds, the princess Ochi-Bola was found. The princess's mummy, completely ingrown into the ice, was in the lower level of an older burial in a larch burial block fastened with bronze nails. The hands of the deceased woman, neck and back of the head were completely covered with griffin tattoos, testifying to the sacred status of the buried.

To protect the valuable find from the harmful effects of the environment, the archaeologists decided to deliver the mummy for research to the city of Novosibirsk as soon as possible and called a helicopter to transport the sarcophagus with fragile remains. When approaching Novosibirsk, the engine of the winged car sharply failed. The pilots miraculously landed the car, avoiding disaster. Altai shamans unanimously began to say that this was the first fatal warning because of the violation of the ancient agreement with the kingdom of the dead. And the series of natural cataclysms that followed really testifies to this.

In the summer of 1993, the mountains began to shudder, a wave of tremors and earthquakes with the formation of cracks and faults in the earth's surface swept across Altai. Many landslides and landslides have occurred in the mountainous area. Altai rivers overflowed their banks. Old-timers said that it was urgent to return the mummy of Princess Ukok to its place.

In all religions and ancient legends of different peoples, it is said for the edification of people that until the appointed hour, no one has the right to cross the border of the lower world and disturb the ashes of the dead from the kingdom of the dead. But a person always wants unlimited power not only over other people, but also over the elements of nature, space and the underworld …
