The dignitary lost consciousness and knew the future
In the book "Shi ji" ("Historical Notes"), an incident is described that occurred during the Spring and Autumn period (770 - 476 BC). One day, Zhao Jianzi, the highest dignitary of the Jin kingdom who was in charge of state affairs, fell seriously ill and lay unconscious for five days.
The doctors were afraid for his life, so they specially sent for Bian Que, the legendary healer, to heal Zhao Jianzi.
After examining the patient, Bian Que said:
The doctor then added that Zhao Jianzi would wake up in three days.
Bian Que was right. After two and a half days, the patient regained consciousness. He told the doctors that during the coma he could not move and did not feel anything, but his consciousness was clear.
Zhao Jianzi's soul ascended to Heaven and saw the ruler of the Heavenly Kingdom. Vladyka told him:
This is how Zhao Jianzi learned about the death of the Jin kingdom and the prosperity and decline of the Qin kingdom that followed it.

According to historical records, the kingdom of Jin was ruled for seven generations, after which it perished. A man named Ying is Emperor Qin Shi Huang, his original name being Ying Zheng. He founded the Qin dynasty, whose reign did not last long, only 15 years.
Pei Gong's soul left the body
During the Tang Dynasty (618-907), another incident occurred. One day, a man named Pei Gong from Xinzheng City went to his hometown of Luoyang. He wanted to get home in time for Duanwu (Dragon Boat Festival).
Pei Gong walked all day and reached the stone bridge. Suddenly a horse rushed past with a youth in the saddle, followed by a retinue. The rider turned around and asked Pei Gong cheerfully:
And the young man lent Pei Gong a horse so that he could quickly get home.
Pei Gong was delighted, dismissed the servants, jumped into the saddle and rushed towards his hometown. Before the gates of Luoyang, he dismounted, returned the horse to the young man and said goodbye to him. The man went further on foot and in the evening reached the house.
There he saw that the sisters and parents were just hanging the lanterns for the festive table. He went into the courtyard and loudly greeted his father and mother, but they did not pay the slightest attention to him.
Pei Gong was very surprised, called his brothers and sisters, they also did not answer.
The family did not notice him, and the man began to slowly get angry. He again loudly called those present, in response - silence. Then he heard his father say with a sigh:
The mother immediately burst into tears, and after her the whole family began to cry.

He left the house and walked along the street. After some time, Pei Gong saw the noble lord from afar and, pointing at him, said:
And then Pei Gong realized that on the way he met the deity of the lake, who decided to play a trick on him, separating the soul from the body.
The noble gentleman ordered one of the retinue to escort the joker's victim. They approached the gate, Pei Gong, following the escort, slipped into the crack and immediately found himself near that very stone bridge.
Pei Gong saw his body on the ground, around which the servants were crying. The guide told the man to close his eyes and pushed him in the back. Pei Gong's soul entered his body and he woke up.
