8. Trampling by people with devices (fakes)
The first forgery of circles appeared in the West a long time ago. Skills, capabilities and tools improved. And in our time, such specialists do not need much work to fake complex circles. It is now possible to distinguish such from the real only with a careful personal search carried out only by an experienced researcher.

10. Covert government experiments
From time to time, such speculations are still circulated in the press. So in a similar version announced in the English press it was said that crop circles constantly appear around the city of Krasnoyarsk. And the opinion was that this phenomenon was somehow connected with the secret experiments of the Soviet government. Krasnoyarsk and its environs were a zone closed to foreigners until 1991. Perhaps the last argument was the most "convincing" for the British. But Soviet researchers do not share it.
11. Trampling by domestic and wild animals
Many animals have been accused of this - from dogs to elephants, primarily horses.
In 1686, Robert Plot, professor of chemistry at the University of Oxford, wrote the book The Natural History of Staffordshire. He tried to find a "higher principle" to explain the phenomenon of circles, and wrote: "But the most likely explanation is that the circles are trampled by animals."
12. Crushed by the leash of pets
On December 6, 2009 the media reported that "the mystery of the mysterious crop circles in Britain has been solved, they were drawn by cows!"
Back in the early 1980s, about 500 wheat crop circles were discovered in England. After the photos were leaked to the press, the story was passed on by word of mouth, leaving out uninteresting facts and adding more embellished ones. As a result, the news spread throughout the country within a few weeks. Without reliable information, people believed that the circles were nothing more than places in the fields where spaceships landed. This idea was supported by the majority of the country's population.
In fact, this hype overlooked the most important fact: a farmer who was detained by the police for illegally using a field as pasture for his cows. Every night, the farmer took the cows out to the field, drove a stake into the ground and tied the cows with a rope so that they would not run away. As a result, when the animal moved, it pressed down all ears of grain with a rope on which it was tied, forming uniform circles.
This conclusion of scientists did not please the supporters of the theory of extraterrestrials. Later, scientists tested this theory in practice, which further strengthened their correctness. Let this theory remain on the conscience of those scientists who conducted the research, since later it revealed many errors, inattention to details, and possibly ignoring important details that would refute this theory.
13. Trampling of hedgehogs in round dances
Yes, imagine and such a hypothesis exists. Perhaps this hypothesis appeared due to the fact that someone at one time found dead hedgehogs inside the circles. But this is similar to the dolmen hypothesis.

14. Trampling by mythical creatures
Some researchers (some seriously, some jokingly) recall the famous custom of elves - to leave behind strange rings in fields and meadows. There is a story of a certain Evangs-Wentz, who on one of the August Sundays in the vicinity of the Hout Hills, met several local residents.
They took him to a nearby field and showed him a “magic ring”, and while he was standing in it, they said: “Yes, elves really exist, and this is the place where they are often seen dancing. The grass within the ring is never tall, since only the shortest and thinnest variety grows here. In the middle, magic mushrooms grow in a circle, and the elves use them as seats. They are very small and love to sing and dance. Elves wear green jackets, and sometimes - with red hats - and red jackets …”But until now none of the researchers had a chance to see such“dances”.
15. Trampling a kangaroo
In 2009, the Australians surprised the world with a new version, announcing that the Crop Circle was being trampled by kangaroos addicted.
However, the paradoxical (if not anecdotal) version does not explain in any way how drug-addicted kangaroos can make perfectly even figures in the fields, moreover, appearing not only in their habitats, but also far across the world.

17. Sentient ants

This is the second most common version - the circles are formed as a result of UFO landings. We cannot say that “this cannot be”, but the huge abundance of dissimilar circles and pictograms, as well as the complexity of the structure of their drawing, indicate that traces are not left by the banal “flat bottom of the ship”.

Roman Petrovich OLEKSYUK from Vinnitsa put forward a hypothesis that crop circles (on the grass, in the snow) are formed by standing electromagnetic waves.
22. Psi-impact, esoteric signals
