Death of King Henry II
The most famous of the fulfilled prophecies of Nostradamus is the death of the English king Henry II. In a prediction for the king's wife, Nostradamus said that the "old lion" would die in a duel with the "young" one who would "hit his eye."
At the knightly tournament on the occasion of the wedding of the king's daughter, the Earl of Montgomery accidentally hit the slot in Henry II's helmet with a spear and pierced the eye, the king died 10 days later.

Fire in London
