The legendary clairvoyant gave three concerts in Bryansk in 1964. He not only worked miracles on stage, but also helped the people of Bryansk in life. At that time, our fellow countryman Valentin Dinaburgsky watched his psychological experiments. He shared his memories with us.
The name of Wolf Messing is still fanned by legends and the most incredible rumors. Sorry experiment
“Some newspapers now claim that in fact Wolf Grigorievich was a joke magician, he had no special gift, and Stalin and Hitler did not even know about his existence,” sighs the former director of Tolstoy Park, researcher of paranormal phenomena Valentin Dinaburgsky. - I cannot affirm or deny everything that concerns his acquaintance with Hitler, but it was Stalin who allowed him to tour the country. I am sure that the Messing that I knew really had unique abilities.
As Dinaburgsky says, as a child, Messing was a lunatic, and this is already an anomaly. And when his gift was discovered and he began to help people, Wolff long sought to have his phenomenon studied in the laboratory. But he didn't. Only when he died did doctors study his brain and came to the conclusion that he was no different, for example, from the brain of a plumber. So his unique abilities remained a mystery.
“The Bryansk Philharmonic Society had good connections with the Moskontsert,” recalls Valentin Davydovich. - And then one day the director of the philharmonic society Galina Ivanovna Safronova called me and said: "Messing is coming to us!" I then worked in Tolstoy Park, I had a summer theater with 500 seats (in the place where the Bryansk Forest Museum was recently located).

We decided that the concerts would be held in it. Posters were hung around the city: “Wolf Messing. Psychological experiences. Beginning at 19:00. Children under 16 are not allowed. Tickets cost 50 - 70 kopecks.
- We met with Wolf Grigorievich at the Philharmonic. There was a knock on the door. A quiet, intelligent man came in. He introduced himself as Messing, shook my hand, and then imperceptibly slipped his palm to my wrist and said: “Sorry, experiment. Art, more precisely, literature, poetry. Am I correct? " I gave him a book with my poems. He thanked him, did not say anything about poetry, but noted that I have an inner vision of nature, and this means something. He also asked: “Please do not ask me about your fate and the fate of your loved ones. I can't lie. " And I realized how hard it was for him, and did not ask, - says Dinaburgsky.
Then he and Messing went to inspect the theater, and along the way, and Tolstoy Park. Then there were only 5-6 wooden sculptures in the park. Wolf Grigorievich became interested in them.
- I told him that an unfinished forester by education, got to the front from the third year. When I returned, I happened to be in the park. At that time, the park was decorated only with concrete-plaster of paris, a pioneer with a broken arm, a girl with an oar, a girl with a book, and swans whose heads were periodically unscrewed. I decided that this "hospital" should be removed and replaced with wooden sculptures, because there were a lot of dry elms in the park. They scolded me very much for this. Messing then said that I would leave and the park would leave. And so it turns out - no one but me needs the park, but it is included in the monograph "Parks of the World"! I am always at war with officials, then with clergy.
Why Wolf stumbled
After each concert, Dinaburgsky accompanied Messing to the hotel, where he lived in a room on the second floor - unfortunately, the room in which he spent three days did not survive after a global reconstruction. He closed in the room almost until evening. I left it only at six o'clock. And immediately went to the theater.
- He was always very worried, although he never had a single puncture at concerts. Fatal questions about the war were not asked to him. These were the simplest tasks. One man brought a comb to Wolf and asked to return it to the owner. Messing began to sniff at her like a sniffer dog, and then found a young man in the hall and stuffed a comb into his pocket. He always asked someone from the audience to come out to assist him. And I know for sure that these were not decoy ducks. Hundreds of Bryantsians watched the following picture at the concert: the girl wrote the task in a note. Wolf gave the note to his assistant, and he himself found a woman with a black bag in the hall, took out lipstick from the bag and brought it to the stage. When they read the note, everyone gasped - he coped with the task brilliantly! At the second concert of Messing, Dinaburgsky noticed that he often stumbled on the wooden floor.
- I asked him: "Wolf Grigorievich, do we have a bad sex?" And he replied: "No, I stumble over human pain." He felt very subtly if someone in the audience had a headache or a heartache. Once we were sitting on a bench in the park. And suddenly he began to twirl, as if on nails. I ask what happened. And he: - That woman has a very headache! - So what? - Like what, it hurts me too! Messing breaks down and goes to the woman. - Madam, do you have a very headache? - Oh, dear, not the word! - Will you allow me to touch? And suddenly the woman's face changed. - Oh, the pain goes away! - The pain is gone and will never return! The woman didn’t even thank him for that.
Messing told Dinaburgsky many cases from his healing practice. One of them, rather complicated, took place in Warsaw. A guy turned to Wolf Grigorievich. His name was Janek. Janek claimed that pigeons had settled in his head. Messing realized that a little drama was needed here. I went to Janek's house. He had a magnificent garden, and a smart neighbor lived behind the fence. Wolf gave his neighbor 10 zlotys, asked him to buy five pigeons and kill them. Then he gave Janek a gun and suggested that a flock of pigeons was flying over the house. He began to shoot at them, and the neighbor threw dead birds over the fence. Janek grabbed the pigeons, counted them, immediately dug a meter-long hole, buried them, rolled them over with a heavy stone and was very pleased. After 20 years, a neighbor in a drunken shop admitted to him that he was being played. The pigeons are back again. Janek ended up in a psychiatric hospital and died in the clinic. For 20 years he managed to get married, defend his thesis and was a completely normal person.
Similar to Messing
Valentin Dinaburgsky is sure that Messing's unique abilities are still a gift, not a curse. In life it was difficult for him, sometimes he was afraid of what he saw, but he helped many. Men and women like him are sometimes found among ordinary people. Healing abilities and clairvoyance can be possessed not only by sleepwalkers, but also by people who have experienced clinical death, a ball lightning strike, a strong emotional shock. - For example, Wang. Moreover, when people approached a tree, he lowered his leg and touched someone's head with his thumb. And the man was shaken by an electric discharge. As the doctors noted, the body of a person who had undergone such therapy was recovering. And there were many who wanted to substitute their head for Ali Baba. According to the researcher of paranormal phenomena Dinaburgsky, Kashpirovsky also has a huge energy force. It is no coincidence that many conjectures and legends have also appeared around his name.
- Unfortunately, among the people who call themselves psychics, now there is no one who could compare with Messing, - says Dinaburgsky. - Many of them cling to other people's fame, others sincerely believe that they have some kind of ability. But, as far as I know, there are no real healers and seers in Bryansk.
