American Bigfoot researcher Linda Godfrey corresponded for several years with a woman named "Susie" (a pseudonym) from Maine, who communicated with a whole family of Bigfoots (Yeti) as a child.
In 2017, Godfrey managed to interview this woman, where she tells her story in detail. A video in English can be viewed here.
It began in the late 1960s, when Susie, then seven years old, met a large adult Bigfoot, whom she named Wabou, and two small Bigfoots, probably his children, near her home.
Susie actively communicated with the Bigfoot family for several years, until about the beginning of the 70s, after which their meetings became much more rare.
The private house of the Susie family stood on the shore of a small lake and one day the girl began to find empty shells of mollusks (snails and mussels) crushed or broken by someone on the shore. And at night, strange frightening sounds came from the nearest forest.
Susie could not figure out who was eating shellfish, there were no animals in this place that would eat them. And there were many shells, sometimes she even found a small pile of empty shells.

And then she met these creatures on the shore and it turned out that they were eating mollusks. Suzie describes in detail how Wabu, covered in crimson fur, squats in the lake water and eats shellfish very quickly, biting through shells with his strong large teeth.

According to her, Wabu's teeth were very different from human teeth, they were all the same size and had a square shape. Wabu also swam excellently in the water and even taught Susie to swim, sitting her on his big shoulders.
One day Susie brought a deck of playing cards to the shore and wanted to play with Wabu and the cubs, but they did not understand anything from her explanation. Then Susie brought them bread and fruits and they really liked them.
Then Wabu showed her where they lived. It was a hideout in the forest, made of roughly twisted branches. There they spend most of the day, going ashore in the evening or at night.
In the dark, their eyes glowed red, and when Suzie played hide and seek with the little big feet, she could always make out in the twilight where they were hiding due to the glow of their eyes.
Suzie confirms that big feet smell really bad. Every time Susie played with them, she had to take a bath afterwards, otherwise she smelled bad, too.
Fortunately, her parents did not pay attention to this, they were busy with their problems and did not care that their daughter was walking all day by the lake or in the forest.
When Linda Godfrey came to Susie to interview her, Susie showed her the forest where the Bigfoots lived and where they still live. Susie even made a loud calling sound to call them and after that Linda saw something dark and big behind the trees. But it flickered only for a second and Linda did not see the Bigfoots themselves.
Later, one of the local residents said that he also saw a large humanoid creature in these places.
