Is it true that in Udmurtia there is a very real possibility of encountering a "Bigfoot"? What does he look like? And why won't getting to know him bring anything good? Together with the head of "Sphere-X" Valery Kotov, these questions are answered by the journalist of IZHLIFE and "Center" in the project "Mystical Udmurtia".
Story # 1: "The White Man and the Endangered Village"
One of the very first mentions of the "Bigfoot" (or his prototype), we found in the material of a member of the Writers' Union Sergei Zhilin in the newspaper "Moskovsky Komsomolets in Udmurtia" (April 2001). He talks about a dying village.
- There were many legends in those places about the White Man who lived in the Black Forest (Siodnules). Oh, how happy he was when the surrounding villages began to die, to collapse. In the evening, the White man went out to the top of the Nimshur-yil hill, overgrown with juniper, and jumped there, performing wild dances with joy that people were leaving his possessions, he alone remains the owner here, - wrote Sergey Zhilin.
Once a peasant went to this forest for firewood. When he was about to go back, the horse began to worry.
- He looked around, and behind him was a huge, under three meters, man, all covered with white wool. The peasant yelped, fell down on the stacked firewood with a kulem, whipped the horse, and that horse carried it at full speed. He just came to himself at home. But it is no coincidence that they say that a meeting with evil spirits rarely ends with good - since then the peasant began to languish, he only lasted six months, - wrote Sergei Zhilin.

Story number 2: "Bigfoot" on the outskirts of Votkinsk"
Another time he was seen in January 2010 in Votkinsk. Namely, near the houses on Kungurtseva Street, which is located on the outskirts of the city. After 30 meters - garages and immediately behind them - a forest. There were witnesses, and even footprints that were photographed.

- At the neighbor's window sill made of two-millimeter iron turned out to be bent, as if someone had piled on. This is how tall a creature should be to lean on a structure at a height of almost two meters, - Vladimir was surprised.
In addition, after measuring the tracks, he had a headache for another day, and the place where the snowman jumped the heating main was bypassed by the cat.
It is worth clarifying that no studies of these traces have been carried out.
Story number 3: "The search for" Bigfoot"
In May 2010, in Udmurtia, a whole cryptobiological (the science of strange biological objects and phenomena. - Ed.) Exploration took place in search of the Bigfoot. The research group "Kirov-Kosmopoisk" went to the Krasnogorsk and Seltinsky regions of the republic. We decided to check the words of the lumberjacks, who claimed that they saw an unusual creature in the forest between the villages of Bolshoy Seleg, Valamaz and Ut-Syumsi.
During the expedition, traces of a bear were found.
After wandering in the woods for three days, the researchers found nothing. In addition to the testimony of Vladimir Chulkin, a resident of the village of Pivovary. He said that in the late 1980s, his sons, who were then 16-17 years old, saw the "Bigfoot" in the surrounding fields.
- Later one died, the second went mad. And in the village there are times when cattle are lost. Then they find her nearby, in the marshes, driven away, all in sweat. This famous phenomenon, often accompanied by braiding or tangled manes, is attributed by some to "Bigfoot," the researchers said in the reports.
A creature from another world
Opinions differ as to who the Bigfoot is. Someone says that this is a separate race, they attribute him to the Neanderthal who has survived to this day. Valery Kotov, the head of Sphere-X, believes that this is a creature from another world.
- Not parallel. Parallel ones are those that repeat ours. And here is another world. Yes, it lives in our forests, leaves traces. But we do not yet know how they come and go. There were expeditions and paid ones. They showed nothing, says the researcher of the anomalous.
And no one will say what they need in our world. The only thing that is clear is that they come for a reason. And they are comfortable in our climate and conditions.
- Why don't we know a lot about them? It's simple. They are much smarter and, in my opinion, can calculate everything in advance so as not to get caught by a person. In addition, they have the ability to influence our psyche. Before the approach of the creature, the person begins to panic and fear. And he tries to quickly leave the meeting place. This is the protection of the Bigfoot, says Valery Kotov.
What does science say?
To date, the existence of "Bigfoot" has not been confirmed by anything. There is not a single member of the species living in captivity, not a single skeleton or skin. Nevertheless, there are allegedly hair, prints of footprints, and several dozen photographs, videos (of poor quality) and audio recordings. Numerous studies of DNA (wool) have shown that it belongs to bears, horses, raccoons and other animals.
It is interesting that the question of studying this phenomenon was raised at the state level in the USSR. A group of scientists assumed that this is a primate from a degraded branch of Neanderthals that has survived to this day. The project was quickly curtailed, since no real evidence was found. But the works have not been canceled to this day.
Later, one of this group of scientists - Boris Porshnev - wrote the book "The Mystery of the" Bigfoot ". The current state of the issue of relict hominoids”.
Where can you find Bigfoot?
If we consider Udmurtia, then it is better to look in the north of the republic, where dense and unexplored forests - Krasnogorsk and Yarsk regions.
- It is unlikely that they will appear in the forests around the cities. There are many mushroom pickers and tourists walking there. But the deaf thickets and the taiga are the very thing for them, - Valery Kotov believes.
In addition, in the north of the Novgorod region there are Malovisherskie forests. It is there that everyone who wants to see the "Bigfoot" flocks. Chains of unusual footprints are regularly encountered in those parts, and there is a local resident Oleg Ivanov, who claims to have seen strange creatures and even wrote a book about it.
Another active activity in the search for "Bigfoot" was launched by the Kirov cryptozoologist Anatoly Fokin. In 2017, he lived in an abandoned village in the Kilmez district, located on the border with Udmurtia - he was looking for a whole family of yeti.
Bad sign
Asya Teplyashina, a traveler from Izhevsk, said that a meeting with an unknown always threatens with something bad.
- My grandmother lived in the village of Bolshaya Cheptsa (Debes district). During the war, they ran as children to collect food in the forests. And there was a terrible hunger and therefore each time they went deeper and deeper into the thicket, in search of food. During one such outing, the guys saw something similar to the "Bigfoot". It stared at them. Of course, the children ran away from there so that their heels sparkled. And the meeting did not go unnoticed. A friend of my grandmother, who was then also, literally a month later burned out the entire economy.
