The inhabitants of the village of Bekovo associate the appearance of the creature with the body of an ostrich and the head of a horse with a shaman woman from Gorny Altai, who last summer lived for several days in a house on one of the streets and conducted a paid reception of people. She promised to cure diseases, get rid of the evil eye, damage, attract profit and luck to the family.
