Researchers have long tried to understand why it was intended, but they could not give an exact answer. The image on it is somewhat reminiscent of a complex circuit or board than an ancient artifact.

Its study is complicated by the fact that the original location of this artifact is unknown. According to the available information, it was bought either by a museum in Holland in 1828 or by a Swedish museum in 1830 (museums vary from source to source).

However, this artifact is now in the Leiden Museum of Antiquities.

The artifact itself is a small alabaster disk 49 centimeters in diameter and 13 centimeters high. Its weight is as much as 75 kilograms.

The main question that torments everyone is its purpose. According to available versions, it was used for burials or for ritual purposes. But why make such a complex object for burial? This remains a mystery.
