One of the greatest and most mysterious monuments in the history of mankind is the pyramid of Cheops (reigning Khufu). A fascinating and mysterious mystery of the past rises on the Giza plateau, a suburb of Cairo, Egypt.

Near the pyramid of Cheops, there are monuments to the sons of Pharaoh Khufu - Khafra and Menkaura. Also next to the Great Pyramid is the Great Sphinx, the Sphinx Temple and the Khafre Valley Temple.

According to historians and scholars of the past and modern day, the amazing structures of antiquity represent burial structures for the ancient Egyptian monarchs.

Some researchers conclude that the structures were not tombs, as is commonly believed by the scientific community. They served as advanced astronomical observatories for the earliest scientists, since no solid evidence of the burial of the pharaohs has been found.

Cheops ruled from about 2585 to 2566. BC. It is believed that the pyramid was built as a tomb for the fourth dynasty of the Egyptian pharaoh Cheops, lasting more than two decades, without stopping even after the death of the king. The architect of the Great Pyramid was the vizier of Cheops, Hemon, or Hemiunu, as some believe.

About 100,000 people took part in the cyclopean construction. It is believed that in the first ten years a road was built, along which stone slabs were subsequently dragged.

The height of the ancient artifact (and this is indeed so) is 137 meters, although it was originally 147 meters. Just under the influence of factors such as time, sand and wind, the facing crumbled, and the tomb became smaller in size. The length of the base of the main attraction of Egypt is 230.38 meters, requiring for a 20-year construction 2,300,000 limestone blocks, each weighing an average of 2.5 tons (!) And 115,000 facing slabs.

How the royal crypt was built, how the heavy stone blocks were erected remains a mystery to this day. There are even beautiful versions that it was not without the help of an alien civilization, or the surviving Atlanteans. Yes, there are many theories and assumptions, and until now, scientists from all over the world come to the Giza plateau in the hope of unraveling the mystery of the Egyptian tombs.

The limestone that went into the construction of the tomb was brought from the opposite bank of the Nile or was made in the quarries located nearby, as is commonly believed.

However, it is difficult to imagine how the massive blocks were processed (how they were installed), because all the work of cutting the stone is very laborious even with modern tools. And in the days of ancient Egypt, all tools and implements were made of soft copper, the Egyptians did not even know about the existence of iron and bronze.

Inside the ancient building are the pharaoh's chamber, the queen's chamber, a large gallery, an unfinished underground chamber and many more corridors and tunnels. The main monument of the Giza plateau has been recognized as one of the famous wonders of the world for over four thousand years. Shrouded in a veil of secrets and mysteries, his story gives rise to amazing theories.

Secrets of the ancient pyramids

Did you know that the Great Pyramid of Giza contains enough stone to build a half-meter wall around the entire planet? Or that radioactive sand was found near the king's chamber? There are countless fascinating details that reveal the many secrets that lie at the heart of one of the most mysterious buildings in ancient times.

While many questions remain unanswered, we are still puzzled by the complexity and precision of this incredible ancient structure. For decades, researchers have debated and debated countless theories trying to explain why and how these monumental stone structures came into existence.

- To date, no scientist has been able to acceptably answer the three most important questions regarding the pyramids in Egypt: who built them, why were they built, and finally, how were they built?

According to the accepted version, the amazing structures were erected by the labor of a huge army of builders. This was mentioned by the Greek philosopher and historian Herodotus, who claimed that the architectural structures on the Giza plateau were built by hundreds of thousands of people.

Nevertheless, the explanation proposed by Herodotus seems impossible to many. As this turns out to be true, each block of stone must be accurately laid in 3 ½ minutes, 24 hours a day. Some ignore the fact that this is a ridiculous amount of labor, which, according to researchers, could not be found during the 4th Dynasty of Egypt.

But even if it was done differently, how were the heavy stone blocks transported? And how did the stones rise to the height as the pyramid grew? Don't forget that the Cheops pyramid, for example, contains 2.3 million stone blocks.

According to accepted versions of history, the Egyptian pyramids were built to serve as a place of eternal rest for the great pharaohs. The giant monuments were built solely for the purpose of preserving the bodies of the kings and helping them on their journey to the kingdom of the dead. However, not a single mummy has been discovered by scientists inside the pyramid!

One of the biggest misconceptions that the pyramidal structures are just the tomb of the courtiers led to the formation of a number of misunderstandings about the ancient Egyptian society, their culture and origin. The pyramid of Cheops does not contain the dried up mummy of the pharaoh, nothing was found in the tomb, and there are not even signs of the presence of a mummified body in the sarcophagus intended for it.

The granite sarcophagus lying inside the Cheops pyramid is too large to be carried outside. The sarcophagus in the "King's Chamber" is too large to squeeze through the aisles, and therefore it was clearly set in place during construction. The sarcophagus (essentially a coffin) is made from a single piece of solid granite.

To work with a massive slab of granite, saws with a diameter of at least 2.5 meters are required - even if they are bronze. Although for the work done, even a set of saws with sapphire teeth is not enough. Processing inside the sarcophagus requires tubular drills fed with powerful vertical force. Microscopic analysis of the sarcophagus shows that this was done with a fixed drilling point and a pressure force of up to 2 tons.

Radioactive sand? - Not so long ago, former NASA consultant Richard Hoagland noted that traces of radioactivity were found near the king's chamber. According to some researchers, radioactive sand may be the reason why people experienced strange hallucinations in the pyramid. In addition, this could probably explain another oddity - why the top of the tomb seems to be 1000 years older than the lower base.

Another difference between the Cheops pyramid about all discovered today is that it is the only pyramidal structure with eight faces. The four sides of the pyramid are slightly concave inward, and this is its special uniqueness.

The centers of the four sides are chosen with an extraordinary degree of precision, and this stunning effect is not visible from the ground or from a distance, only from the air, and only under the right lighting conditions.

This difference can be detected from the air at dawn and dusk on the days of the spring and autumn equinox, when the Sun casts a shadow on the Cheops pyramid, illuminating the mysterious antiquity.

Yes, very interesting things are included in the construction of the "simple tomb". Indeed, in fact, the Great Pyramid was built with an orientation to the true north. But in what amazing way, the ancient builders were able to achieve extremely high accuracy thousands of years ago, even without knowing what the Earth is?

These facts raise numerous questions, how … where, finally, where did the ancient Egyptians acquire advanced knowledge in the field of mathematics, engineering, architecture, physics and astronomy? Who brought them knowledge? Or maybe they were more ancient civilizations?

Is it possible that the Great Pyramid predates the ancient Egyptian civilization? Could there really be a great civilization that lived in the vicinity of the Nile before the ancient Egyptians?

Indeed, there is an ancient document found in the historical library of Nineveh in Sumer that says: The Great Pyramid was known to the ancient Sumerians about 10,000 years ago. Obviously, ancient texts prove that the pyramid existed 6,000 years before the first pharaoh of Egypt.

Who were these high-precision pyramid builders? Where did the technology and knowledge come from? Was it an extraterrestrial civilization of antiquity? Or, even before the rise of ancient Egyptian civilization, highly developed cultures populated modern Egypt and mysteriously disappeared from the history books?
