Pyramids of Lake Rock
Lake Rock, located 40 kilometers east of the main city of the American state of Wisconsin, Madison, is about eight kilometers long and no more than four kilometers wide. The small town of Leigh Kmills is located on its shore. In the second half of the 1960s, he was in the focus of public attention for a long time due to an amazing archaeological discovery made under water.
On July 30, 1967, a team of scuba divers, consisting of seven people, arrived in this town to check rumors about some structures at the bottom of the lake. Submerged, they searched the bottom for a long time, but found nothing and decided to stop searching.
Already six appeared on the surface, and the seventh - diving instructor John F. Kennedy - was in no hurry, since his attention was attracted by the vague outline of some kind of elevation! John resolutely tore the seal from the spare cylinder and moved towards the dais. After a few seconds, he stretched out his hand and rested his palm against the sloping masonry! John walked along the masonry, feeling the top edge with his hand. There was a horizontal platform behind the upper edge. Having rounded the strange structure, the scuba diver saw that from the opposite side the
platform again turned into an inclined wall. There could be no doubt: an artificial hill 12 meters long and 6 meters wide appeared in front of John F. Kennedy's amazed gaze!
Background
The first information about strange structures at the bottom of the Rock Lake dates back to the beginning of the 20th century. They were reported by brothers Claude and Lee Wilson while hunting ducks. In April 1936, dentist Morgan saw these structures from the open cockpit of his biplane. In 1937, the then world champion in diving, Max Noel, became interested in the mystery of Lake Rock. He quickly found a 10 meter high pyramid with a 5.5 meter diameter lower base. Experts assumed that all the discovered pyramids were erected before the formation of Lake Rock. And since the lake was of glacial origin, it means that already in those days, that is, more than 10 thousand years ago (!), People lived here!
Surprisingly, according to the Courier Unesco magazine, thousands of man-made underwater objects up to 45 thousand years old have been discovered in different parts of the world! Among them are Stone Age quarries in Tasmania, archaeological sites of the Mediterranean Sea and alpine lakes, Bronze Age harbors in Greece and Israel, monuments of material culture on sunken land areas in Mexico and the US state of Florida.

Finds without consequences
In March 1979, Reuters reported from Lisbon: "Soviet scientists have received photographs that may confirm the existence of the legendary disappeared continent of Atlantis between Portugal and the Madeira Islands!" Indeed, the head of the expedition of Soviet scientists, Andrei Arkadyevich Aksenov, mentioned at a press conference about eight photographs of the summit of the Amper seamount, taken earlier from the ship "Moscow University" by oceanologist Marakuev. In at least two of Marakuev's photographs, as Aksenov said, the remains of artificial structures, apparently destroyed walls, are clearly distinguishable! The important thing is that Mount Ampere gravitates towards the area where, according to Plato, Atlantis was located!
It was only in 1984 that Soviet scientists managed to take another closer look at the seamount. The expedition ship "Vityaz" arrived here with a 10-ton submarine "Argus" on board.
This was the 305th submersion of the device since its creation. There are three in the cockpit - commander Vitaly Bulyga, pilot Leonid Voronov and scientific observer Leonid Pochivalov. They sank to the bottom, and suddenly Pochivalov exclaimed: "Should I believe my eyes?" The dark mass of the fortress wall with obvious traces of masonry rises above the "Argus"! The wall is five meters high and one meter thick. In the monolith of the adjacent masonry, a "room" of almost regular quadrangular shape has been carved out! On the site, slightly covered with algae, stones lie around the circumference. "Is it really a hearth?" - asks the commander of the apparatus Bulyga.
Bulgarian oceanologists also took part in the survey of the mountain. The researchers, getting out of the hatch of the "Argus", could not hide the shock. They actually saw arches, stairs, diamond-shaped, rounded and oval stones, domed elevations! We even saw the circus arena …
Geologists' verdict
The Argus has descended the slopes of Mount Amper 12 times! It was duplicated by a diving bell, which allowed divers to chop off samples of stones from the ruins. Having studied them, the geologists stated: since the samples of stones raised turned out to be dark, heavy basalt that never knew the warmth of a human hand, it means that all these "walls", "stairs" and "circuses" are of purely natural origin!
