Where decisions are made that are really important for the fate of the world

Once a year, the world media must remember the Bilderberg Club. This usually happens in early June. Now (from 7 to 10 June) in Italy, in Turin, its next 66th meeting is taking place.

This club, which has long attracted the interest of journalists, is not a formal organization. It is an unofficial annual conference of about 130 participants - influential people in the field of politics, business, banking, media. The composition of the participants changes every year (although there is a narrow circle of people who come to the meetings regularly). The organizing committee every year carefully prepares the lists of participants for the next meeting, participation in the meetings is possible only by invitation of the organizing committee.

Members of the club include some of those who have participated in meetings in previous years. According to the information service of the BBC, in the middle of the last decade, the club's asset united 383 people, of which 128 were Americans, the rest were mainly Europeans, there were also several representatives of Asia (Japanese, Koreans, Singaporeans).

There is a point of view according to which the Bilderberg Club is one of the instruments with which Washington controls Europe, and was created at the initiative of the US CIA. The project of such a club was approved in 1954 by US President Dwight D. Eisenhower.

In publications about Bilderberg, they usually pay attention to two main features: 1) club meetings are held in an atmosphere of secrecy; 2) very influential people are present at the meetings. Thus, David Rockefeller, who passed away in 2017, was a regular participant in the Bilderberg Meetings; permanent members were or remain Nelson Rockefeller, Henry Kissinger, Robert McNamara, Donald Rumsfeld, Alan Greenspan, Richard Pearl, Paul Wolfowitz.

The Bilderberg Club is considered by many to be the prototype of world government. Allegedly, decisions are made at these meetings every year, which are then brought to the attention of the respective governments through the "delegates".

In addition to guests from the permanent staff (asset) of the club, people who cannot be attributed to the world elite are also invited to the meetings. On behalf of Russia, in this capacity, Grigory Yavlinsky and Lilia Shevtsova were invited to the meetings at different times. We attended meetings Anatoly Chubais (twice - in 1998 and 2012), the head of JSC Severstal Alexey Mordashov, economist Sergey Guriev. After 2015, there was no one from Russia at the meetings of the Bilderberg Club.

At the 66th meeting in Turin, the most famous participants were Henry Kissinger, former CIA head David Petraeus, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Bank of England Governor Mark Carney, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte, German Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen. Among the new guests is one of the Vatican cardinals and Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabic.

To satisfy the curiosity of journalists, the organizers of the club's meetings in recent years have begun to give short releases on the topic of upcoming discussions. For example, at last year's meeting in Chantilly (USA, Virginia), the main topic was the migration issue in Europe. In 2018, according to the release, the following topics were proposed for discussion: “populism in Europe”, “world domination of the United States”, “inequality”, “employment”, “quantum computers”, “artificial intelligence”, “freedom of trade”, “post- truth in the modern world”, the situation in Russia, Saudi Arabia and Iran, as well as some“current events”. Such an extensive list is disorienting: as a rule, more than two or three key topics are not discussed at meetings.

Since the 1990s, the importance of the Bilderberg Club began to decline. Firstly, the club was heavily exposed, there were repeated leaks of information about its activities. Secondly, since the end of the twentieth century, the importance of financial issues has increased dramatically in the world; international platforms appeared, which took over some of the issues that were previously discussed at the meetings of the Bilderbergers.

First of all, it is the G30, headquartered in Washington, about which little is known. It is an advisory group that brings together representatives from central banks and large private banks from different countries, as well as leading world economists. It was created in 1978 by the banker Jeffrey Bell with the participation of the Rockefeller Foundation. The group makes recommendations for central banks and leading commercial banks in the world.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees - Jacob A. Frenkel of JPMorgan Chase International. Chairman - Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for Economic and Social Policies, Singapore. Chairman Emeritus - Paul A. Volcker, former chairman of the United States Federal Reserve. Honorary Chairman - Jean-Claude Trichet, former President of the European Central Bank (ECB). In this list, Paul Volcker, who led the Federal Reserve from 1979-1987, and Jean-Claude Trichet, who over the years headed the French Treasury, should be distinguished. Bank of France, World Bank, Paris Club, and in the period 2003-2011. was president of the European Central Bank.

Among the current members of the G30, we should especially mention William C. Dudley, who is president of the Federal Reserve Bank of New York and previously worked for the investment bank Goldman Sachs, and ECB Chairman Mario Draghi.

In addition to the G30 group, there are a number of other equally interesting sites. For example, the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel (a platform where the leaders of the world's leading central banks meet regularly) and such an institution as the annual meetings of leaders and representatives of central banks in Jackson Hole in the United States (in August of each year). Here, the policy of the owners of money is being developed, which is carried out through the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the BIS, central banks and ministries of finance of different countries.

I believe that today the media controlled by the global elite are not without intent fanning the excitement around events such as the annual meetings of the Bilderberg Club, in order to divert attention from the institutionalized meetings where the owners of money make decisions that are really important for the fate of the world.
