The effect of an endless mirror has been known to us since childhood, and you can easily meet it - just go into an elevator with mirrored walls. If we stand between two parallel mirrors, then the chain of reflections creates a corridor going into infinity. But will the number of mappings actually be infinite?
Not. No mirror reflects 100% of the light, part of the light energy is necessarily absorbed, so that each subsequent reflection turns out to be dimmer and after a certain number of iterations there is simply not enough light to draw a distinguishable picture. In addition, for the formation of each subsequent reflection, the light travels more and more distance, and the picture becomes smaller. Let's imagine that we have a perfect mirror. Decreasing, one day the reflection will become less than the resolution of the eye. And we won't see him. You can, of course, use a telescope, but when the size of the reflection approaches the edge of the wavelength of the light wave, no optics will help us.
