There is a very curious theory according to which another ancient civilization may exist in the inner cavities of the Earth. According to this theory, the Earth is a sphere, inside of which there are significant voids, and it is possible to get there only through the gates located at the poles, or through dug tunnels.
And even though this theory at first glance looks pretty wild, it has very real grounds. NASA scientists have recently discovered many galleries and underground settlements in the Altai, Ural, Tien Shan, Tibet, Sahara, South America, Ecuador, South Australia, the United States, New Zealand. And the list goes on for quite some time.
Here are just a few underground structures recently found by researchers:
Ecuador
1986 was marked by the discovery of huge underground caves that connected two countries - Peru and Ecuador. The entrance was found in Ecuador in the province of Morona - Santiago by the Argentine scientist Juan Moritz. These labyrinths are located deep under the earth's surface and have all the traces that speak of their artificial origin. According to Erich von Däniken, the tunnels created by a lost ancient civilization can be penetrated through gigantic passages carved into the rock. And from it there are further descents to leveled platforms.

Thus, you can get to a depth of 250 meters. At this level, tunnels of the correct shape are located, they have turns at angles of 90 degrees. The walls and vaults of the aisles are well finished. The ventilation holes are located at a strictly fixed distance, which is 0.7 meters. There are also a large number of rooms that can be compared to a conference room. In one of these rooms, metal plates were discovered, on which text was applied that have no analogues.
Presumably, these vaults were created many thousands of years before the appearance of the Incas on the world stage.
Derinkuyu
One of the oldest and largest cities of the Median civilization, found in 1963 under the surface of the earth, is Derinkuyu. Now it is located in the Turkish territory called Cappadocia. On its territory, 36 underground settlements have already been found. Derinkuy's area reaches 2.5 square kilometers, and all this splendor is located at a depth of 85 meters. According to the official version of archaeologists, the building dates back to 7-8 centuries BC. At the same time, the constructed premises are located on 13 tiers and can simultaneously accommodate up to 20 thousand people.
This complex provides for everything: prayer rooms, drinking wells, ventilation shafts (52 pieces).
At the same time, the city can be easily turned into an impregnable fortress by covering the entrance holes from the inside with huge boulders.
Kaymakly
Kaymakli is considered to be a slightly smaller underground settlement in the Cappadocia Valley.
It was used as a shelter for persecuted Christians who were fleeing all kinds of persecution. This settlement has 8 full tiers and includes a whole complex of halls and corridors. This whole structure is carved inside a pliable volcanic rock - tuff. The initial floor was excavated by the Hittites. In the subsequent Byzantine and Roman periods of power, this city only grew.
Interstorey communication is realized through ventilation shafts, which also carried the functions of fresh water bodies. Air recirculation is carried out in such a way that the temperature throughout the settlement is constant at 27 degrees Celsius. If necessary, all entrances could be blocked with large stone discs. With all this, the city could accommodate approximately 15 thousand people. This city was connected with Derinkuyu through a nine-kilometer tunnel.
Huashan
The Shaanxi Province of the People's Republic of China boasts that caves have been found on Mount Huashan, which is 2,130 m high, which is also one of the five most revered peaks of Taoism. This event happened in 1999. A total of 36 caves were found. The largest of them has an area of 12.5 square kilometers.
The analysis of natural formations - stalactites - reaches 1700 years. Absolutely all caves are recognized as artificial. As on the walls you can see obvious traces of processing. There are also columns, pools and even bridges over underground streams in the halls.
The total volume of excavated rock in 500 thousand cubic meters speaks simply of the colossal work done. There are temples on the surface and vertical shafts with carved steps lead to each of them.
According to historical records, almost all emperors visited these caves in order to offer prayers to the gods.
Nepal
The northern part of Nepal, where the ancient kingdom of Mustang was previously located, can boast a truly unique complex of 10 thousand caves. These caves are tens of thousands of years old, but the real mystery is how their creators rose to a height of 100 meters. After all, all the entrances are located exactly at this height.
The existence of such cities, more and more makes you think that the legends about gnomes, replicons and other underground inhabitants are not such a fairy tale. And more and more scientists are beginning to think about the fact that it is time to revise modern ideas about the past of our planet. And to recognize that Humanity is not the only civilization inhabiting the Earth.
