September 1960 - Italy. This shot from 3 UFOs has many opponents. Skeptics argue that saturated dark objects were placed over the background and photographed again.

This may be true, but proponents of the image argue that magnetic, gravitational or other anomalies of advanced technology could be the reason for such a rich color. Discussions are still ongoing …

1960 - Minneapolis, Minnesota. This is one of those "hard to believe" pictures. It was taken on October 20, 1960, and appears to depict a large oval object emitting light. In fact, there are no objects there, however … there is no smoke without fire.

It looks like the light is moving from left to right, because in the photo you can see a kind of trail leading to the right.

1960s - Taipei, China. This excellent photo was taken by Tsai Chang-Hung in the Yanshan Garden adjacent to a Taipei hotel. It depicts an oval object hovering in the sky. Although the photo is dark and hazy, Researcher Ho claims the photo is authentic, pointing out that Tsai is related to Tsai Chang-Xien, the former head of the Taipei Observatory. 1961 - Taiwan. The photo was taken by Wang Shi-Lin, in Taitung. This is the first known UFO sighting in Taiwan. Photo courtesy of TUFOA.

According to UFO expert Ho Sen-Jung, 15 unusual phenomena were recorded in the sky over Taiwan, which were recorded in photographs. The earliest of these photographs was taken in Taitung in 1961.

March 11, 1961 - Japan. Very little is known about this photograph: the date, the place and the fact that it was taken by a young Japanese man.

The case when a young man was in the right place at the right time. Nice, albeit a little blurry, shot, which is still part of the history of Ufology.

1961 - Pescara, Italy. In April 1961, science columnist Bruno Gibodi took several pictures of strange flying machines on the beaches of the Adriatic Sea in Pescara.

He also claims to have encountered extraterrestrial beings. Click on the photo to enlarge it.

Note: This looks more like a flying locust than anything else. One of the strangest flying objects I've ever seen.

Image

1963 - Northcliff, South Africa. While renting homes for sale to be published in the local newspaper, a real estate agent accidentally filmed this unknown flying object. She never thought about the existence of flying saucers until she saw this object in the photo.

The original image was small, but a friend of her son's had scanned and enlarged it. A truly great photo … who knows … maybe it really is a flying saucer. I can only say that this UFO is different from all the others that I have ever seen.

1964 - Oberwesel, Germany. March 8, 1964, a resident of Germany, Harry Hockler captured a UFO. He was traveling along Oberwesel by train when he suddenly saw a disc in the air.

The dark, spinning disk pictured here is a very rare form of UFO.

July 3, 1964 - India, near New Delhi. This great photo was taken by the legendary Billy Edward Meyer, famous for his UFO imagery. A self-proclaimed contactee, he is a controversial figure in the field of UFOlogy, as opinions expressed regarding his connections with aliens and the authenticity of his work are highly controversial.

1965 - Tallahassee, Florida. After a strange spot appeared in the sky over the city for 2 nights in a row, the residents of Tallahassee began to call the weather bureau.

Both times, the object hung in the air for half an hour and then disappeared. The photo is pretty good.

August 3, 1965 - Santa Ana, California. The photo was taken by road worker Rex Helfin, who is at that moment near the Santa Ana motorway. Helfing did not report what he saw, but his photographs were published in the Santa Ana magazine from 20.09.65.

This case turned out to be very controversial: the photographs were seized and examined for authenticity. This is one of the most famous UFO photographs in history.

1965 - Warminster, England. A snapshot of an "unidentified flying object" of that time. Photo taken on August 29, 1965 by a young factory worker, Gordon Falkner.

At that time, there were many reports of UFOs from residents of that region, some reported seeing cigar-shaped UFOs, others talked about disc-shaped objects. It is important to note that this disc can easily turn into a "cigar" if you look at it from a different angle.

1965 - New Zealand. The photographer's name is still unknown, but the picture was published in the daily newspaper of the city of Parramatta, which a little earlier published photographs of the sensational UFO that appeared in the suburbs of Sydney in 1965.

The picture was taken on the South Island of New Zealand using an Epson camera.

1965 - Athens, Ohio. The photo of Douglas Stewart was taken at 8 pm, July 12, in Athens, Ohio. In addition to him, another 5 people observed the UFO. Stewart captured the UFO with his Pentax camera (135mm, f1.8, focal length: 243mm).

He used 35mm Kodak Plus-X film, which could not reduce the contrast of the image (developed in D-76, 1: 4). Everything took place in the presence of the Steers couple, Claude Kantner and Scott Wilson.

1965 - Tulsa, Oklahoma. In 1965, a huge number of various kinds of UFOs were recorded in the United States. From the west to the east coast of the country, people of all ages and walks of life saw strange low-flying objects almost every night.

Over time, the number of UFO reports has increased significantly. On the night of August 2, 1965, thousands of people in 4 Midwest States witnessed a large UFO that appeared in the air.

That same night, a multi-colored disc was photographed in Tulsa, with several people observing its low altitude maneuvers.

This photograph was scrutinized, found to be genuine and later published in Life magazine and many other newspapers. Despite this, some researchers are sure that this is a fake, resembling a Christmas tree ornament.

April 18, 1965 - Bernasilio, New Mexico. I have several descriptions of this photo. The shot is pretty good for 1965. It depicts a disc-shaped UFO with an antenna on top. Thanks to ofnava, we have the following information: “The image was taken by Paul Will in Alburquerque, New Mexico. This is one of a series of photographs. Later, Will's photos were found to be fakes.

1966 - Australia. A Polaroid photograph of an upright UFO taken by a businessman from his own garden at about 2 a.m. April 2 in the suburbs of Bolvin, Australia.

The Australian Victorian Flying Saucers Research Society took a close look at the photograph and concluded that it was genuine.

The photo, copyrighted in 1979 by David Knight, was published on page 138 of the book UFOs: A History from Antiquity to the Present Illustrated.

1966 - Provo, Utah. The pilot of the US Air Force C-47 "Skytrain" twin-engine aircraft captured this red object at 11:00, July 1966.

The plane flew over rocky mountains about 40 kilometers southwest of Provo, Utah.

The Condon Commission considered that this UFO was not worthy of scientific research and concluded that the photograph shows an ordinary object thrown into the air.

Subsequent careful examination of the image confirmed that the subject in the photo was real.

1966 - Hillsdale, Michigan. The so-called Swamp Gas case. It was this incident that convinced skeptic Allen Heineck to publicly acknowledge that UFOs do exist.

About half past ten in the evening, a resident of the Hillsdale College women's dormitory reported a strange object in the sky. William Horne, the head of the district GO, responded and confirmed that the bright, luminous object was indeed near a nearby ravine, and then began to move through the air.

Hynek, who died in 1986, attributed the incident to "swamp gas." However, within two weeks, he changed not only his opinion about such phenomena, but also about the controversy that reigned around UFOs.

Image

1966 - Michigan. Photo taken during the 1966 Midwest Wave. This is one of the best UFO photos. The explanation given by Allen Hynek ("swamp gas") could have continued.

Without enough explanation for this phenomenon, the US Air Force used the stupidest explanation.

Hynek may have regretted it later, but he continued on his way to becoming one of the most respected UFO explorers of all time.

1966 - Cashville, Missouri. Photo taken on November 22 over the river. The hunter and two of his friends camped by the river when an unidentified flying object appeared nearby.

Their tent with their belongings, as well as several trees nearby, instantly burned down.

It is believed that the cause of this was a UFO. One of the men managed to take 2 pictures of a UFO flying away. The first shot was too blurry, but the one you see here is of good quality.

December 18, 1966 - Lake Tiorati / Bear Mountain, New York. Thanks to ofnava, we now have information about this photo.

The photo was taken by Vincent Perna at 4:30 pm on Lake Tiorati, New York.

Perna states: "All of a sudden, an unusual, silent, bronze-colored object, about 6 meters in diameter, appeared."

Vincent took 4 photos and after a few minutes the object disappeared.

1967 East Woonsocken, Rhode Island. At about noon on June 10, Harold Trudel drove to East Wunsoken. For unknown reasons, he stopped and began to wait … Harold claimed that he had seen a UFO in the area before.

He prepared the camera and soon a disc-shaped UFO appeared from the West, moving along the power lines. The object then hovers in the air above the wires.

Hiding behind bushes and trees, he began to photograph. Harold took 8 pictures in total. As the UFO moved rapidly from place to place, Trudel had to constantly look for new locations to shoot.

He watched the object for 5 minutes, until it rushed north. The UFO was close enough to make out the antenna at the bottom of the object.

May 11, 1967 - Torrance, California. Almost nothing is known about this pretty high-quality picture.

The photo was taken on a Saturday night by a group of friends. Allen, Bobby, Rick and Danny ran out into the street as soon as they saw this object glowing with a red and white light.

One of the guys had a camera and he took this picture.

July 18, 1967 - Rome, Italy. Drew Wright took this picture at 10:00 am in Rome.

"I had a terrible hangover from all the cheap red wine I drank the night before, on my first night in Italy."

“I saw an object in the sky and the local guys started shouting 'disk, disk' and pointed to the sky. I quickly photographed him and he disappeared."

February 1967 - Zanesville, Ohio. Ralph Ditter took two photographs of this unknown object.

Ditter was an amateur astronomer and passionately loved everything related to the sky in one way or another. These 2 photographs of a disc-shaped object with a lid were subsequently presented to the press.

Image

1967 - Calgary, Alberta, Canada. On July 3, expert Allen Hyneck said: "… this is the best daytime shot I have ever seen."

That says it all! Warren Smith and two of his friends were returning from a two-day trip when they saw this object. Smith grabbed a camera and took two photographs. Definitely one of the best early UFO imagery ever.

February 2, 1967 - Lima, Peru. This is the only surviving photograph of a funnel-shaped flying object pursuing a Fawcett passenger liner on its way to Lima at 6:30 a.m. on February 2, 1967.

After landing, all passengers were interrogated. Some of them photographed an unusual ship flying alongside the airliner, but all cameras were seized and the photos were confiscated.

One of the passengers, who wished to remain anonymous, managed to save the tape, from which this frame was subsequently cut.

March 22, 1967 - Yungai, Peru. At 5:30 pm, hundreds of residents and tourists of the city saw 2 UFOs. They flew over the snow-capped Huascaran Mountain and the city of Yungai, Peru.

Photo by Augusto Arando. The dome of this UFO appears to be made of the same material as the rest of the hull, instead of the usual transparent top.

June 27, 1967 - Wichita, Kansas. Another good quality photo taken in Kansas. It is difficult to say exactly what shape this object is, but it is absolutely possible to say that a UFO of this type has not been recorded before.

I believe the object is triangular in shape.

Image

1967 - Zagreb, Yugoslavia. This picture was taken by Farish Zoran on November 23, near Zagreb.

Ironically, the two "balls" are very similar to those that have been captured over the past two to three years around the world and especially in California.

Image
Image

1967 - Pigeon Lake, Alberta, Canada. On the evening of July 3, the attention of Douglas Dennis, who was fishing on Pigeon Lake, near Buckhorn, was attracted by a bright orange ball glowing in the sky.

When the subject was low enough, Dennis took his camera and snapped a picture of this brightly glowing mass floating in the air.

This beautiful night shot clearly shows a circular, luminous object hovering in mid-air. Other eyewitnesses also observed this ball.

Image

1967 - Ohio. According to numerous UFO reports that I have studied, the US state of Ohio is one of the most popular places for UFO sightings.

This daytime photograph, which clearly shows an oval / circular object, adds to Ohio's collection of UFO imagery.

Image
Image

1967 - Woonsocket, Rhode Island. Daytime photograph of the disc-shaped object was taken by contactee Harold Trudel in East Woonsocket.

The photograph shows a slightly asymmetrical dome-shaped object hovering in the sky.

Even a layman understands that this is a fake. Although Trudel himself is sure that the aliens have come into contact with him and send him telepathic messages about where and when they will appear. Of course this is not true.

Image
Image

1967 - Miljeville, Georgia. There were 2 pictures of this object in total. The person who took the photos is still unknown and most likely for a reason.

The photo is not very clear and I would say it is most likely a fake, although I'm not sure.

The first shot was taken as the subject approached the photographer, and the second was a close-up shot of that stationary object.

1967 - Mahwa, New Jersey. Wayne from New Jersey was on his way to Mahwa when an object hovering in the sky caught his eye.

Through the trees along the street, he saw a dim, gray, almost motionless object.

Bjornstad stopped the car and got out with his 35mm Japanese camera loaded with color film. He went to a place with a good view and photographed this strange aircraft.

August 18, 1968 - Romania. This is one of four photographs of a daytime disc taken by Emil Barnea near Cluj, Romania.

On that day, Barnea with his girlfriend Matea and a couple of friends were walking in the woods. Suddenly Matea screamed that she saw "something" and when Emil looked up, he also noticed a large round metal object sparkling above the tops of the trees.

Astonished Barnea immediately photographed him. The UFO moved slowly, changing direction and becoming brighter, then suddenly accelerating, until it completely disappeared beyond the horizon.

December 6, 1968 - Sikuani, Peru. Pedro Chávez, photographer of "La Prensa" who went to Sikuani on a business trip, was in Cathedral Square, not far from the church. It was there that he took this shot before the objects evaporated.

The dark outlines of the three objects are very similar to other photographs taken during this time period.

1969 - Apollo 12: November 14-24, Astronauts: Pete Conrad, Richard Gordon, Alan Bean.

Importance: First accurate moon landing, landing within walking distance of unmanned spacecraft. From that moment on, interest in NASA and the Apollo spacecraft began to decline.

NASA Archives (Photo # AS12-49-7278). The picture shows astronaut Alan Bean and an unidentified flying object in the upper left corner.

1969 - Bariloche, Argentina. On December 30, Honored Doctor and Professor Sebastian José Tarde, together with his students, was in Bariloche, on a popular holiday in the Andes.

While riding on Lake Nahuel Huapi, the professor took several pictures of an unknown object with his Leica camera.
