On May 11, 1996, a DC-9 aircraft with 109 passengers on board crashed and drowned in the swamps of the Everglades, Florida. Since then, the most fearless fishermen have not ventured to fish on the river flowing from the swamps. The place is considered cursed.

Here is what the boat owners John and Ruby Gilmond, who visited those places, said.

“I've suffered more fear in a few minutes than in my entire life,” John admits. “Before the plane crash, we always went to this part of the river. However, when we went there soon after the death of people, the boat began to behave somehow strangely. Before sunset, we decided to return home, but no matter how hard we tried, we could not budge him. So we got stuck in the swamp. We were already about to request help on the radio, when suddenly we heard voices, moans, sobs. The boat easily moved from its place and began to drift in the direction from which the sounds were heard.

Ruby, 28, saw the ghosts first.

- At first I thought that steam was rising above the water. It was about two hundred yards away from us,”she recalls. - When we got closer, we saw four figures: three men and one woman. They hovered about a meter above the surface of the water. They all had blood on their heads and bodies. Fear and confusion in the eyes. And suddenly all four grabbed the sides of the boat and began to rock it. Why? they shouted. Why did we die?

The Gilmonds say the screaming and rocking of the boat lasted about four minutes. They have already said goodbye to life. Then the pitching suddenly stopped and the boat easily went in the right direction.

John and Ruby aren't the only ones who survived such a meeting. More than two hundred people admit that for four years now they have not come close to the crash site because they saw ghosts there.

“They are real and evil,” these people say.
