Everyone knows that the enemy of the human race never renders any services for nothing, but the reward for his help is always the same - he demands a human soul. Whoever wants to use the power of the devil during his lifetime usually surrenders his soul to him. In this sense, a contract is concluded between them, and to make it stronger, they write it, and the person “assures” it with his blood. History has preserved the recorded protocols of numerous trials of sorcerers and witches in the Middle Ages, and has left us with the most curious examples of these contracts between man and the devil for the sale of the human soul.
The book On the Recognition of Sorcerers and Sorcerers, published in Paris in 1623, describes such an agreement concluded by Father Lois (that is, Louis) Gofridi. Here is his text, word for word:
“I, Father Lois, renounce all and every spiritual and bodily blessings that could be given and sent down from God, from the Virgin and from all the saints, and especially from my patron John the Baptist, and from the holy apostles Peter and Paul, and from St. Francis. To you, Lucifer, whom I see and contemplate before me, I surrender myself with all the good deeds that I will do, with the exception of the grace of the Holy Mysteries, out of compassion for those to whom I will teach these, and for this I sign all these things. and I testify."
The devil, for his part, signed the following commitment to Lois Gofridi: “I, Lucifer, promise under my signature to you, Mr. Pater Lois Gofridi, to give strength and power to enchant with the breath of the lips all wives and girls you wish, in what and I subscribe. Lucifer.
It is curious that in the Middle Ages and subsequent centuries in Western Europe and especially in Catholic countries, persons of the clergy of both sexes very often entered into an agreement and an alliance with the devil.
Medieval demonologists argued that there are special midday demons, that is, those who are those who entered into an alliance with them, for example, sorcerers, only at noon. They appear to their friends and allies, sometimes in the form of people, sometimes in the form of animals. Some of them even take the image of some inanimate object, allow themselves to be enclosed in something (in a ring, in a bottle, in a decanter), while others even fit in some figure, letter or number drawn by a person. And this was in those days one of the most common ways of intercourse with evil spirits.
Having taken possession of a person, Satan usually imposed his seal on him, that is, he marked his prey with some special sign. A common sign that a person had entered into an alliance with the devil was the complete numbness of some parts of the body on which the "seal of Satan" was put. These places could be stabbed, burned, and the person did not feel the slightest pain. On top of that, the injections and cuts did not cause bleeding.

Pater Lois Gofridi bore over thirteen seals. According to the meaning of the treaty, it is clear that this is an altar servant who started such a risky game on two fronts, the main purpose of the treaty was to quench his painful erotic fervor with the assistance of Satan's spell. The seductive erotomaniac ended his days at the stake.
Many were tempted by women, others by wealth, and still others wanted power. And some entered into a contract simply out of stupidity.
The duration of the contract, during which the devil serves the manic whims of man, is always set by Satan himself. A contract can be concluded for 6, 13, 20 years or for a longer period of time, during which a person who has sold his immortal soul to an unclean person enjoys unlimited possibilities (as a doctor, as a sorcerer or as a scientist), untold riches or fabulous power (as, for example, a military dictator, leader or party leader), but after a specified period of time dies and completely, body and soul, belongs to the devil. Human weaknesses and passions are always the driving force behind contracting. A drunkard can be seduced with a bottle, a beggar with wealth, a frail one with strength and power over other people. There are too many human vices and too imperfect a person!
The contract is always drawn up in two copies: one remains with the devil, and he hands the other to the person and puts it in the hand from which the blood is taken for signing or writing the contract. Human blood is an essential ingredient in a soul sale transaction.
Many people, especially young people, after a few years, fall into panic, fearing the approaching end of the term of the contract, after which death must come or there will be nothing: no women, no wealth, no power. Only death. And horror. And then belated repentance comes, a person begins to look for ways and loopholes to annul the contract, renounce the devil, prolong his life and save his soul.
History has preserved many such examples. People repented and came in search of salvation to the church, where they brought solemn repentance, renounced the devil and took holy communion. Immediately after the sacrament, the devil's torment fell on the person: he emanated with a cry, his body began to break, bend in different directions. And in front of those present, the messengers of the devil arose from nothing in the guise of some animals or freaks (for example, two huge black goats standing on their hind legs), who held in their paws the contracts of man with the devil. There are usually several contracts at once, and all of them are fictitious in order to confuse the clergy and servants of God.
The clergy immediately began to recite exorcisms (sacred incantations), and the messengers of Satan fled. At that time, from the hand of the repentant man, his copy of the treaty with the devil emerged without any pain and without any trace. But that was not all. To save the soul of a sinner, it is necessary to get another copy of the contract, which remained with the devil. Therefore, the spells continued. Again, the names of the saints and the apostles were called to help, and solemn vows were pronounced to serve a church service in honor of these saints. Usually, after this, a new messenger of the devil appeared in the church: for example, a huge ugly stork holding a copy of the devil's pact in its beak, or some other ugly size and shape, but a bird familiar to man. And when the messenger of Satan put the treaty on the throne, the devil's power over man ceased.
There are many such cases recorded and preserved by history, starting from the Middle Ages. This is the case today. However, cases of repentance are minuscule compared to the number at which people consciously comply with the terms of the contract with the devil to the end, plunging headlong into the benefits that they bargained for from Satan. And what will happen to the soul - these questions did not bother them much. For "apostates" it is only important that their bodies are bathed in luxury and bliss, in momentary ghostly happiness and in fabulous wealth.
The devil has many servants and assistants, secret and overt: black sorcerers, leaders who swiftly ascended to the throne of power, the nouveau riche, rich by leaps and bounds, numerous armies of sectarian Satanists. They all serve him, whatever they do, they do for his good. A person may not believe in either God or the devil, but he, without knowing it, serves one of them. There are honest and decent people, and there are thieves, liars, and murderers. There are two main camps in the world: Good and Evil, between which there is a constant confrontation. And as long as the balance of these forces is maintained, we will live in peace. But, so that this balance is not disturbed, one should not give the slightest chance to Evil.
