On March 31, 2011, the Chelyabinsk Regional Court held, perhaps, the loudest trial in the entire criminal history of the Chelyabinsk Region. In the dock - a group of young people, former Satanists, led by 27-year-old Konstantin Abanshin. Who are these "children of Satan"? What are they accused of?
Thorny path to Satanists
In 2010, a large group of Satanists was identified in Kopeysk, who committed seven murders during 2001-2003. Murders for the criminal Kopeisk are commonplace, but what happened nine years ago cannot be called otherwise than the curse of Satan.
So, let's talk about everything in order. All these boys and girls had common interests - they were fond of Satanism and professed the cult of Satan. Music became the youthful hobby of future Satanists, they became interested in occult literature when they had already plunged into the web of Satanism. The music was also satanic - black metal. Having organized a kind of group, they began to conduct rehearsals in one of the clubs, and then perform.
A certain Konstantin Abanshin was in charge of all this (officially he appeared in the press as Mikhail Zadorozhnev). In his group there were 12 people - mostly boys and girls, who were then 13-14 years old. As the locals recall, this music made the ears stuffy, and the hair stood on end.
To get an extra dose of adrenaline, the teenagers gathered after the concerts at the local cemetery. It was there that they began their nightly orgies. Somehow Kostya, in front of everyone, crucified a black cat from somewhere in the cemetery. The ritual was accompanied by cheers and thunderous applause. After that, one of the “brothers in arms”, apparently without any ulterior motive, asked him: “Can you do the same with a person?” - No problems! Let's go!..”And they went, taking with them a few more willing …

Monsters of the night city
On the night street, they attacked some late peasant. Naturally, there was no talk of his crucifixion. But then they "frolic" heartily: at first they used it as a punching bag. Pokurazhiv enough and hammered him half to death, they found somewhere a rope. Soon the torment of the poor fellow stopped. Stopped forever - he was strangled. Next time the whole gang, already ripe for such cases, went to the night streets.
A whole performance was played for courage. Two Satanist girls ran up to some drunken passer-by and, "shaking with fear," cried out: "The guys want to rape us, walk us home." We went through the wasteland. What happened next could not even be invented by the medieval Inquisition. Showing their "dashing" in front of their friends, the guys began to slowly and ruthlessly kill the unfortunate passer-by. The girls, however, did not lag behind either. In stiletto heels, they jumped furiously over his body.
Each of their subsequent "entertainment" looked approximately the same way: after listening to music, they went out into the street at night, stopped a lonely passer-by and, like a pack of mad jackals, pounced on him, beating him to death. Those who did not want to die or resisted were killed with knives and stones. So, on the body of one victim, about 80 knife wounds were counted. None of the victims had little or no chance of survival. All these atrocities are striking in their senselessness and cruelty.
The killings ended in 2003. But not because the Satanists changed their minds and realized what they had done. Their bloody childhood just ended, new interests appeared. Someone's parents bought a motorcycle, someone moved to another area.
Exposure
To begin with, a reasonable question should be asked: why for nine whole years all these bloody crimes remained unsolved? The fact is that mostly unconnected people became victims of young Satanists. At first, no one even could have imagined that the seven murders committed in different parts of the city could be somehow connected. Therefore, for each of them, a criminal case was initiated, which was suspended two months later due to the absence of those who committed these crimes. In addition, the teenagers did not leave any occult traces after themselves. The investigation did not even dream of suspecting ordinary adolescents of such fanaticism. Until 2010, they were listed as undisclosed.
The fact that these are all links of the same chain, the detectives became aware in 2010. Checking the so-called informals, they found a certain 27-year-old Konstantin Abanshin. Apparently, Abanshin was no longer able to keep such a terrible secret in himself and began to give shocking confessions about the affairs of bygone days. After a while, Larisa Mokina, one of the active members of the gang, supplemented his revelations with more detailed testimony.

Retribution for one
The court sentenced Konstantin Abanshin to 13 years in a strict regime colony. The seat next to the leader, reserved for his girlfriend and active Satanist, was empty. Then, nine years ago, Larisa Mokina was 16. Now would she? was a married woman, mother of two children. During interrogation, she cried and repented, said that she did not understand what had come over her then. They decided to release her on recognizance not to leave, and four hours later the girl hanged herself, leaving a note with the words: "I can't live with this load anymore!"
In relation to another active member of the gang, Evgeny Chuev, it was decided to send him to a psychiatric clinic. In relation to the rest, the criminal case was terminated due to the expiration of the statute of limitations. The fact is that these defendants committed crimes when they were still minors. Criminal liability for murder begins from the age of 14, but along with this there is a statute of limitations. This period is considered 15 years. As for minors, the statute of limitations for them is halved. Therefore, it so happened that most Satanists escaped punishment.
And further. What is the difference between ordinary murder and ritual murder? From a legal point of view, everything is clear here: there is no article "Ritual murder" in the criminal code. As for the moral side, the church believes that the beliefs of Satanists are dangerous because they turn all traditionally established moral foundations inside out.
But did the former Satanists really repented? As a result of searches carried out, occult literature and computer disks were found in their apartments and seized from most of them. All this suggests that they never gave up their "hobbies". And if so, would they not want to repeat their "exploits" again?
Why did they become Satanists?
A lot of young people were fond of black metal, and not a few are interested in occult literature either. Why did these teenagers fall under the power of Satan? The recruitment of teenagers into Satanism is carried out in many ways. One of them is through certain rock music. In this case, it will be extremely difficult to return to normal life. Initially, young people do not strive for evil, but over time, this music captures them.
What is in it affects not only the consciousness, but also the subconscious, and the newly created zombie is already trying to unite with Satan. The most important thing is not to cross the permitted line. Our "heroes" crossed it. There is no doubt that they acted precisely under the influence of occult literature and satanic music. As a result, teenagers lost control over their actions. Today, many of them believe that then it was some kind of obsession and they all really were some kind of zombie.
Here is the confession of one of these "lepers". It testifies to clear communication with the devil, about his psychological influence on still fragile souls, about suppression of the will and about a certain dependence on him. That is why it is very difficult to leave this sect. The whole point here is in that devilish grip that does not let go of a person with an already brainwashed psyche. True, a short enlightenment can happen. And then the Satanist, realizing the terrible meaning of what is happening, may well commit suicide. With yourself, but not with others!
Today, such sects, or rather, gangs, as well as single Satanists operate throughout Russia. Here's just one example. A seven-year-old girl has disappeared in Novosibirsk. Later it turned out that she had been raped and killed. The killer turned out to be 17-year-old Vladimir Mishcherin. Carried away by the occult, the schoolboy first tortured cats and dogs, but this was not enough for him.
He wanted to acquire the power of Satan, and he lured the girl into the attic … But the horrors did not end there. He brought her body home and hid it under the bed. For several days he raped a corpse, showing it to his friends. They drank tea in the same room, listened to their favorite black metal. When the girl's body began to emit an unpleasant odor, Vladimir threw it into a sewer well.
