Nuclear war is a disaster that will bring humanity to the brink of extinction. If it happens, then humanity will practically die, and the few survivors in terms of their technological level will return to the Stone Age and start building a civilization from scratch. Some researchers have come to the conclusion that it was the nuclear war that caused the extinction of the ancient civilization. There are craters scattered all over the planet, which very much resemble the traces of a nuclear bombardment.

One of these funnels is the Dead Lake, located near Penza. This lake is a perfect circle with a diameter of 450 meters.

It is believed that it was created by nature, but at the same time it is incredibly similar to Lake Chagan in Kazakhstan, which appeared on the map thanks to nuclear tests. It is also fashionable to cut such ideal circles in the Nevada desert, where nuclear weapons were tested for many years.

In fact, there are only two significant arguments in favor of the theory of nuclear war. First, all craters are located in completely deserted, unpopulated areas. In short, in the deserts, in which there is no life at all. But after all, a desert is not obliged to form at the site of a meteorite fall. More precisely, it never forms. But at the site of a nuclear strike, this is an inevitable pattern.

The second argument: if the craters were really so old, they would have long been washed off the face of the earth, covered with sand and other sedimentary rocks. Archaeologists have long calculated that, on average, the soil grows at a rate of 1 meter in a hundred years, and our craters should have been equal to the surface long ago. And they are perfectly preserved, as if they were formed quite recently.

It must be admitted that the theory of scientists, like the theory of enthusiasts, cannot be proven, and both of them have every right to exist. It is fair to say that neither the estimate of the ages of the craters, nor the estimate of their origin have any conclusive evidence from either side. In fact, there is simply no evidence that the craters are of meteoric origin. This is just the only obvious version that can be offered within the framework of official science.

As another indirect argument, amateurs cite numerous myths and legends of the peoples of the world, existing in various cultures and describing something very similar to nuclear war and nuclear explosions. The pygmies in Africa have a legend about "great fire from heaven", and the Vedas describe a war between the asuras - the inhabitants of the earth - and the gods who appeared from the sky.

In addition, many peoples of those countries where there are gigantic deserts have legends about ancient flowering cities that once existed on these dead lands. For example, the Chinese have a legend that an advanced civilization once lived in the Gobi Desert. The Hindus have a legend about numerous cities that once existed in the Great Indian Desert called "Tar". The famous Sumer and Babylon are also today buried under layers of sand.

Finally, it is worth noting that across the globe, underground, giant flat tunnels of artificial origin with smooth, glass-melted walls are found.

Derinkuyu is one of the most famous underground cities. This is a truly full-fledged city with numerous buildings, going deep underground for more than 20 floors. And this city is far from the only one. Scientists are racking their brains: why and who needed to live underground? What made people refuse sunlight?

The conclusion suggests itself: apparently, it was impossible to live on the surface of the Earth at that time. Either there was a powerful war, and the attack was fought from above, or there was a worldwide flood, or both. But the followers of the version of nuclear war argue that just a nuclear catastrophe led to the shift of the planet's poles and the global flood, as a result of which the legendary Atlantis sank.
