The message that a UFO was seen in the sky in the north-west of Moscow last Saturday caused a great resonance in the Internet community. As it turned out from the messages that came to the editorial office of rian.ru, several people became eyewitnesses of the incomprehensible phenomenon at once, not only in Moscow, but also in other cities
Most of the witnesses note that the glowing dots appeared immediately after the first goal scored in the quarterfinal match between Russia and Holland. By a strange coincidence, there were as many luminous objects as there were 11 players on the football team.
According to Konstantin Belov, a resident of St. Petersburg, similar luminous points could be seen over the Neva, namely, over the Trinity Bridge. He and another eyewitness Dmitry Shakura managed to photograph these objects.
The UFO news sparked a debate in LiveJournal. As the user Oabones writes, in Novosibirsk, one could also see the luminous points.
The reaction to the UFO report came even from overseas. On the same day, 11 bright orange bulbs could be seen over Indianapolis, Indiana. UFOs were reportedly observed in the southeast of the city. The objects were close to the ground, but they did not create any noise. “I could only hear how my car works. This is the strangest thing I've seen in my life,”says one of the eyewitnesses.
“We saw the same picture in Vienna after the Russia-Sweden match on June 15 this year, which my friends and I watched on TV,” says Oleg Sayenko, a visitor to rian.ru.
“Immediately after the broadcast, we went out into the yard to breathe and saw a picture similar to that shown in the photo. The whole action lasted a couple of minutes, and the lights did not fly high above the ground, as they apparently decreased in size, dimming, turning into a point and disappearing in the dark sky. There were 8 of us, and we all witnessed this picture. I started filming with Nokia E90, which has a good video camera, and I was sure that I filmed everything. However, the size of the video was 5 seconds of the start of shooting, where none of the objects fell. Why the camera turned off is unclear to me,”writes Oleg Sayenko.

Among the eyewitnesses there are those who are skeptical about the possibility of a UFO appearance. According to Moscow resident Pyotr Azarenok, the luminous objects could be balloons. “Immediately after crossing Bashilovskaya Street, I saw how something luminous flew a little ahead, at an altitude of about 30-40 meters. From northwest to southeast. Fortunately, I had my binoculars with me. The object turned out to be a small hot air balloon. There was a burner below, there was a light, and it illuminated the shell. As a child, I had a book that described how to make similar balloons out of paper, with patterns. Here, apparently someone did. True, the shape of this hot air balloon was not spherical, but some kind of polygonal. The aerostatic was flying slowly with a climb towards Savyolovskaya,”says an eyewitness.
But if the words of several eyewitnesses may seem implausible, the statements of the British military personnel, who have already noticed 13 unidentified flying objects over the Tern Hill barracks (in Shropshire), sound completely different. As reported on Wednesday by The Telegraph, the objects resembled glowing cubes. Some military personnel state that they were bright red.
The military managed to capture the UFO on a mobile phone camera. This entry is currently being studied by the Ministry.
