The United Kingdom Aviation Security is investigating the report of the pilot of an Airbus A-320 passenger aircraft. He told how, during the flight, he almost collided with an unidentified flying object.
This event took place in July last year, but it became widely known only now. According to the commander's testimony, the aircraft was at an altitude of 10 kilometers in the area of Heathrow International Airport, ITAR-TASS reports.
Pilot: “An unknown flying object resembling a rugby ball appeared a few meters in front of the cockpit. It was a silvery, metal structure. I considered that a collision was inevitable, as there was no time to take the plane aside. However, the object suddenly gained altitude and flew almost right over the plane."
The UK Airport Board is investigating this incident. This service is responsible for close encounters in UK airspace. At the moment, it is known that meteorologists and the military did not use this sector at the time of the Airbus A-320 flight.
