Surprisingly, many place names mentioned in the ancient Indian epic and sacred books have their counterparts in Russia. And not only in the Vologda and Arkhangelsk regions, where Indian Sanskritologists can easily communicate with the local population without translators, as the late ethnographer and art critic S. Zharnikova noted, but also in the central part of the European part of Russia.
And it is not in vain that some Indian scientists associate the Arctic ancestral home, mentioned in ancient Indian myths, with the territory of our country, from where the Aryans brought their Vedic culture to the North of India thousands of years ago. Therefore, the sacred language of the Brahmans, Sanskrit, has the greatest similarity with the Russian language.
There is also a hypothesis that the ancient destructive war described in the Mahabharata took place precisely on the territory of Russia. Here is what N. Pavlischeva writes about this in the book "Forbidden Russia":
