Among the vast expanses of immense Russia, many unusual places with a reputation as an anomalous zone are lost. One of these mysterious places is the mythical Shushmor tract, which, according to legend, is located in a remote thicket, somewhere on the border of the Vladimir and Moscow regions.

Most of the amazing stories associated with shushmor have no documentary or material confirmation, however, over the years of research, enough information has been accumulated to say that this place cannot be called ordinary.

The first reliable information about mysterious incidents in these regions dates back to the 80s of the 19th century, when people began to disappear in some areas of the Kolomna tract passing through the Shushmor. Mysterious disappearances continued until the 1920s. Despite all efforts, none of the missing were found.

One of the first explorers of this mysterious natural boundary was the famous traveler and geographer P. Semyonov - tyan - shan.

According to the famous researcher, there is an ancient megalithic complex among the lakes and swamps of Shushmore. Unfortunately, the exact location of the unique attraction was not indicated. Until now, none of the numerous expeditions have managed to find it.

The existence of a granite hemisphere with a diameter of about 5-6 meters in Shushmor, surrounded by stone pillars with incomprehensible signs, is also said in ancient legends. This mythical structure is considered to be an ancient pagan temple. Local historians claim that about four thousand years ago, the tract was inhabited by the tribes of the "Lake People", who practiced magic and knew how to control the elements. Objects adorned with images of snakes found during archaeological excavations indicate that the ancient inhabitants of Shushmore worshiped the serpent god Uru.

In the event that the disappearances of people can be explained by realistic reasons, such as falling into a swamp, then the unusualness of some phenomena cannot be refuted even by inveterate skeptics.

One of these unexplained facts is the existence of forest areas with giant plants. The height of common ferns in these places exceeds human height, there are pines with a trunk thickness of two girths. Another amazing plant anomaly is the birch grove, in which the tree trunks are square.

There are no doubts about the results of research carried out by a group of Moscow scientists who studied Shushmore in the 1980s. Experts have discovered the presence in these parts of areas with serious geomagnetic anomalies. It has been suggested that the Shushmore is a powerful geoenergetic zone, similar in its impact on people to the well-known Bermuda Triangle.

It should be noted that the unusual and by no means positive energy of this place, apparently, has long been known to the inhabitants of the region. For many centuries, people were wary of setting up settlements near the mysterious natural boundary. The almost complete absence of any settlements in the Shushmor region is striking at once.

Despite all the difficulties, unreliability and inconsistency of information about the shushmore, for many years the interest of serious researchers and idle tourists in this mysterious place has not subsided. Perhaps the time will come when the Shushmor will reveal all its secrets.
