Polevoy has been in custody for two months now, he was charged with murdering a child. However, neither the girl's body nor any direct evidence of her stepfather's guilt has yet been found. At the very least, investigators are keeping this case secret.
From the very beginning, law enforcement officers were alarmed by Polevoy's confused testimony. At first, he claimed that the girl had disappeared while he was chopping wood, then he admitted that he had gone to the store. As a result, they decided to test the man on a lie detector. Experts with the help of technology found out only two questions: "Where is the girl?", And "Is the stepfather involved in the murder?"
- The polygraph showed that Polevoy has nothing to do with the murder, - said the lawyer Boris Marusov. - And regarding the question of where the girl is, the conclusion says: "has his own thoughts on this matter."
The devices have not yet learned to read thoughts, and it is impossible to find out what Polevoy was thinking about during the examination. And the very fact that he “has thoughts” is not yet an indicator of guilt. After all, this may mean that he simply has his own guesses, which, for some reason, he does not want to share with law enforcement officers.
