Paranormal researcher Lon Strickler received a letter on June 14, 2017 from a couple in Oklahoma reporting strange activity around their home that has been going on for the past 2 weeks.
The couple, who have lived for about 30 years in a house located in a forested area in the southeastern North American state of Oklahoma, a few kilometers from the city of Taliaina, did not notice anything unusual before. However, the strange events that began to occur from the beginning of June this year, alarmed them in earnest.
On June 1, at about nine o'clock in the evening, the hostess of the house, after seeing her husband to work, was reading a newspaper on the back porch when she heard a terrible piercing screech from the side of the lake, located 200 meters from the house. Without getting up from her chair, she looked towards the forest, from where, after a few minutes, came the sounds of heavy footsteps.
“I heard that someone was walking on two legs. But it was already dark, and I could not see anything. Suddenly, three deer burst out of the forest and ran next to the house,”the woman thought it was the animals that made such a noise, so she got up and went into the house.
After that night, screeching sounds were heard several more times. But even the owner of the house, being an inveterate hunter, could not determine their origin. On the evening of June 13, the hostess walked her husband to work as usual, and then, sitting on the porch, talked to her daughter on the phone.
“The whole evening a strange feeling did not leave me, and all the time I looked towards the forest. I was about to get up and go into the house after the end of the conversation, when I noticed that two bright yellow eyes were looking at me from the forest,”- when the woman realized that her eyes were shining at a height of about 2 meters above the ground, she ran into home and quickly locked the door. Then she turned off the lamp inside, but left the light on the porch.
“I looked out of the window, I saw a tall dark figure standing in the back of the yard. The eyes were still very bright and looked in my direction. When my eyes got used to the darkness, I saw long, thick hands with fingers and long nails, an elongated snout and long pointed ears.”Even after the creature fled into the forest, the mistress of the house could not stop her nervous trembling. She called her daughter and asked her to come with her husband.
“The next morning, I told my husband everything I saw. He believes in animal spirits, but even this confused him. He told me that perhaps this is an "evil spirit", and if we ignore him, he will not bother us "- but the woman is sure that she saw not a ghostly, but a completely real creature resembling a huge black wolf standing on two legs.

Lon Strickler phoned the spouses the next day and tried to find out if they saw footprints at the edge of the forest, in the place where the terrible figure stood. But the woman replied that she could not find any traces or other evidence. She only added that she heard a high-pitched squeal again last night.
The owner of the house tried to contact the authorities, but apparently they refused to give him any information. Neighbors also did not notice anything unusual, but they are already elderly people and rarely leave the house. Well, it remains only to wait for the continuation of this story …
