Video: PIRANHA PACU FISH MONSTER CAUGHT in Small FLORIDA POND! 2024, April
Anonim

According to Tatyana Boriskina, a resident of Tula, on June 24, an unusual fish with "human" teeth was caught from a pond in Central Park.

The journalists asked the park administration for a comment. The press secretary of the Tula Parks State Institution Varvara Trunova said that she had seen a photo of the fish in social networks the day before, but no one had contacted the park administration on this issue.

The park's specialists are interested in such an unusual catch: they want to remove the fish and conduct research together with experts from the exotarium. Then it will be possible to determine exactly what kind of species it is and how the "nibbler" could get into the pond of Central Park.

The case is not unique

A couple of years ago, such "fish with human teeth" were caught in a pond in Kaliningrad. The local Museum of the World Ocean found that these are South American piranhas, "vegetarians" (these fish prefer nuts to meat) from the pacu family.

Aleksey Gushchin, an ichthyologist at the Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, explained that the only reason an exotic fish could appear in a Kaliningrad reservoir is careless aquarists. When the owner of the aquarium was no longer able to keep such fish at home, he simply released it into the nearest body of water. But such a fish in natural conditions will live a maximum of up to cold weather.

Perhaps, in the Tula pond there were such piranhas pacu, which someone released into the reservoir.

Piranha red pacu

Piranha red pacu naturally lives in the reservoirs of the Amazon delta in South America. At home, she is the object of commercial fishing. The red pacu is omnivorous with strong jaws. In nature, nuts are the main diet. Piranha grows very quickly - in a year it can grow up to 30 centimeters, the maximum length of adults is almost 90 centimeters, and can weigh up to 25 kilograms.
