Any materials (including biological ones) that are not created by our body are in any case foreign and will be rejected. Moreover, even if they are made of the most advanced inert material, no one will give guarantees that a rejection reaction will not occur. And "extinguishing" the immune system for the sake of this means exposing the body to additional danger. However, a team of researchers from Tel Aviv University has come up with a way to personalize implants that will make the body perceive them as its own tissue.

According to Phys.org, the work is based on the technology of creating any type of implant from a small "portion" of fat cells taken in a biopsy.

To implement the above, scientists reprogram adipose tissue cells into induced pluripotent stem cells that can develop under certain conditions into cells of any cell line.

Scientists are currently exploring the use of their technology to repair damaged spinal cord, regeneration in myocardial infarction, and the use of dopaminergic implants to treat Parkinson's disease in animal models. In addition, in the future, scientists want to test their own way to restore other organs such as the intestines and eyes.
