In the territory of the People's Republic of China, giant fossils have been discovered that resemble footprints, possibly even human ones. Strange fossilized human footprints of incredible size were found in the southwest of the country, in the province of Guizhou, according to the RIA Novosti news agency, which refers to the Chinese Internet portal Sina.
The find was announced by photographers who noticed mysterious footprints on one of the stones, located in the area of the village of Pingyan. Traces, as scientists suggest, could have been left in ancient times.
“We were photographing in the vicinity of the village of Pingyan, in Guizhou province, and suddenly our attention was riveted by an amazing stone, or rather not even the stone itself, but the footprints on it, which in general looked like ordinary human legs, but only abnormally large - times two more than the average person,”say the photographers, who informed local authorities about their stunning find.
Scientists are trying to determine the origin of the giant marks on the ancient stone, but by now they are not ready to explain how and where the fossil footprints came from.
